🌟 Welcome to the Senami Team, Chloe! 🌟

Chloe's journey in the disability sector began as a Support Worker, where they discovered a passion for helping people achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives. This passion led them to progress into a Client Services role, supporting participants and their families to navigate services and access the right supports.

Inspired by the impact of this work, Chloe completed a Bachelor's degree in Community Services and has since stepped into a Support Coordinator role. Today, they continue to empower participants, build meaningful relationships, and help individuals access the services they need to increase their independence and achieve positive outcomes.

What she enjoys most about this field is building genuine connections and seeing the difference that quality, person-centred support can make in someone's confidence, independence, and overall wellbeing.

Outside of work, Chloe enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending Pilates classes, exploring new cafés and brunch spots, learning new skills, and meeting new people.

With a warm and approachable nature, Chloe is excited to continue building connections within the community and supporting participants on their journey toward achieving their goals. 💙

Part 2 of 2

Every family has a story that is often unseen.

In this powerful testimonial, a mother shares her family’s journey supporting her son living with schizophrenia and Psychosocial Disability— from years of crisis, hospital admissions, and uncertainty, to finding the right support that changed everything.

This story not only highlights the challenges families can face when navigating complex mental health and disability needs, but also the positive impact quality NDIS support can have — including improved stability, safety, dignity, and hope for the future.

When the right support is in place, it can make a real difference in the lives of individuals living with disabilities and their families.

The petition has closed, but you can still have your say.

The NDIS helps many people access the supports they need to live their lives, reach their goals, and be part of their community.

If you want to share your thoughts about the future of the NDIS, you can write to the people who represent you in Parliament.

Who can you contact?
✔ Your local Federal MP
✔ Senators in your State or Territory
✔ The Minister responsible for the NDIS

What can you say?

• Tell them who you are.
• Share why the NDIS is important to you.
• Explain how supports have made a difference in your life.
• Ask them to let you know their position on the NDIS Future Generations Bill 2026.

Find your representatives:

• Local MP: https://www.aph.gov.au/Senators_and_Members/Members

• Senators: https://www.aph.gov.au/Senators_and_Members/Senators

We recently had the privilege of attending the first annual Huntington’s Disease National Conference in Adelaide on 7 May, and it was an incredibly meaningful experience.

It was inspiring to hear how much Huntington’s research has progressed over the past decade, particularly the clinical trials focused on delaying symptoms and improving quality of life for people living with the disease.

We were also moved by the stories shared by families, carers, and young gene-positive individuals using PGT-M through IVF to help prevent passing the Huntington’s gene on to future generations. Their courage and hope were truly powerful.

Another highlight was learning about the innovative occupational therapy and wheelchair design solutions improving comfort, dignity, and safety for people with complex Huntington’s presentations, as well as the important work being done alongside Aboriginal communities to co-design culturally safe education and support resources.

It was wonderful to see researchers, clinicians, advocates, carers, and people with lived experience coming together for such honest and important conversations.

We feel incredibly privileged to have attended Huntington’s Australia’s first national conference and look forward to seeing these collaborations and innovations continue to grow.
