🌟 8/8 | Courage. Change. Becoming. 🌟

This morning in Gentle Flow, we explored the Lion’s Gate as a moment to pause and consider where life might be asking us to step forward with a little more courage.

And the timing feels significant.

This week brings a Leo New Moon Solar Eclipse — the beginning of a new six-month story around how we shine, what makes us uniquely ourselves, and what we’re ready to bring more fully into our lives.

There’s no need to rush into action or have the whole story figured out.

For now:

🔥Where are you ready to be braver?
🔥What part of yourself wants to be expressed?
🔥What are you ready to begin?

We’ll explore these themes more deeply at our Fire New Moon Solar Eclipse Circle this Thursday evening. 🔥🌑

✨What happens when we slow down?✨

It’s a question we’ve been exploring throughout this quieter season at Humane.

On June 21st, we gathered to honour the Winter Solstice—not by trying to do more, but by creating space to simply be.

Together we moved gently, shared stories, connected with the horses, rested deeply, enjoyed nourishing food and allowed ourselves to settle into the slower rhythm that winter so naturally offers.

There was one moment that has stayed with me.

I looked around the space and realised everyone had softened.

Conversations had slowed.

Throughout the day, the horses came and went in their own time. Sometimes quietly standing beside us. Sometimes moving on. Always reminding us that connection can’t be rushed or forced.

It felt like a quiet reminder that the deepest connection can’t be forced.

It simply happens when we create enough space for it.

One of our facilitators, Maxime, reflected afterwards:

“There was space to simply be. Space to connect, to reflect, to be witnessed, and to remember that we don’t have to hold everything alone.”

Those words captured the heart of the day perfectly.

As I packed everything away that evening, I realised this retreat marked the closing of one chapter—not just for the season, but for Humane itself.

As Humane continues to evolve, I’m deeply grateful we were able to share this day together.

To everyone who joined us, thank you for your openness, your trust and your willingness to slow down alongside us.

And to Max, the horses, Stevey, Jaz, Justin and everyone who helped bring the day to life—thank you.

With love,

Why retreat now?

It’s a question I’ve been sitting with a lot lately.

The truth is, most of us don’t retreat when life feels calm.

We retreat when life feels full.

When we’ve been holding a lot.
When our nervous system is tired.
When we’ve been moving from one thing to the next without much space to hear ourselves think.

For me, retreat isn’t about escaping life.

It’s about stepping away long enough to reconnect with it.

To remember what matters.

To breathe a little deeper.

To listen to the wisdom of the body, the land, and the quieter parts of ourselves that often get drowned out by everyday life.

That’s the intention behind our Winter Solstice Retreat.

A day of horses, restorative movement, sound, nourishing food, fire and connection.

Not because we need to become someone different.

But because sometimes we need space to return to ourselves.

Lately I’ve been noticing how deeply people are craving spaces where they don’t have to hold everything together.

Our next Fire Full Moon Circles are designed to be exactly that 🌕

Smaller groups.
Slower pace.
More space to soften, reflect and reconnect.

Together we’ll explore this current season through astrology, cacao, journaling, movement, sound and quiet connection.

🌕 Thursday 28 May | 6:30 PM
🌕 Saturday 30 May | 1:30 PM

If you’ve been feeling emotionally full, stretched thin, or simply in need of a reset, you’d be so welcome.

There are moments when the most powerful thing we can do is pause.

This weekend’s Moon Circles and Restore + Sound were a beautiful reminder that strength doesn’t always look like pushing forward.

Sometimes strength is found in softening.
In listening.
In creating enough stillness to hear what is true.

As we move through this current season of change, the invitation is simple:

Slow down.
Return to your body.
Trust what is quietly emerging.

Humane is in a gentler rhythm right now, and I’m finding that the quieter things become, the more clearly I can hear what wants to come next.

Thank you to everyone who joined us over the weekend and helped create such a deeply nourishing space 🤍

If you’re feeling the call to reconnect, private sessions are available, and our next Fire Full Moon Circle takes place on Thursday 28 May 🌕

A little message from Robyn....

I wanted to share a small update from the studio ❤️

As you may have seen Humane Yoga is moving into a quieter season.

Regular classes will be pausing for a little while — creating space for rest, recalibration, and what comes next.

This isn’t a closing.
It’s simply a shift in rhythm.
Humane Yoga isn’t going anywhere.

This space has always been about intention…
and this next chapter is about shaping something that feels sustainable, aligned, and true to where things are now.

There will still be ways to connect over the coming weeks, including:

✨ Moon Circles
✨ Restore + Sound
✨ Soulful Sessions

(and a few special gatherings still to come)

I’ll share these gently as they unfold.

Thank you for being part of this space.
It truly means more than I can say ❤️

If you feel called to come in over the next couple of weeks, it’s a really beautiful time to reconnect and soak it all in.
