Give Big for the PA is officially OVER 🔚
Our target of $150,000 was SMASHED by lunchtime🥊
Thanks to our generous matching givers set a bonus goal of $230,000 and SMASHED THAT TOO! 😍
With everything done and dusted we're so thrilled to be sitting at a Grand total $308,745.45🏆

Thanks to every single person who gave BIG we more than DOUBLED our target.

That means an $300,000 plus for research, patient support projects, cutting edge equipment and staff education at the PA Hospital.
That means more hospital patients benefitting from improved outcomes and getting home sooner to those they love for years to come.

Our target $150,000 SMASHED 🥊thanks to incredible teams and supporters like you!

Grand total $230,000 and counting! 🏆

What happens next is REALLY exciting.

With your help, there’ll be funds going into new research like Associate Prof Arutha Kulasinghe's work (story in the comments below). He’s found a completely different way to look at cancer tumours, using the latest technology to map them cell-by-cell. His work is opening the way to new approaches to destroying tumours.

We need to fund more of these great new ideas, right through to the point where they’re saving lives.

Thanks to everyone who gave BIG, we can also invest in the latest equipment in the hospital, and offer world-leading patient care.

Which means $230,000 raised will be transformed into a new treatment a patient needs, or support for their recovery. It becomes lives saved, and families staying together. Things that really matter.

And that’s when it becomes emotional. 💓

Right now, we’re thinking about researchers like the PA’s Dr Ladwa (pictured in the comments), who is using immunotherapy to destroy cancer cells.

Associate Professor Rahul Ladwa ran the clinical trial that 27-year-old Taylor joined when it seemed all hope was lost. Her recovery has been close to miraculous. You can watch Taylor's story in the comments

I’d love to be able to tell researchers like A/Prof Ladwa that more funding is coming their way.

Gemma’s children were six and eight when she was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer. She is thankful for the treatment that saved her life. But like many women she lives with the knowledge that her cancer could come back. 💔
