Knee pain is rarely just a knee problem.

If the alignment of your spine and pelvis is off, the load has to go somewhere, and the knees are often where it shows up first. To understand what is actually driving knee pain, you have to zoom out and look at the whole body.

This is how we do that at Atlaxis.

Digital X-rays Allows us to look beyond the knee itself, assessing spinal and pelvic alignment to understand whether these structures may be contributing to how the knee is loading and wearing over time.

Thermography inflammation scans Measures heat patterns around the knee and surrounding areas including the lower back and pelvis, identifying which areas may be under stress and potentially contributing to the problem.

EMG muscle scans When the body is out of alignment, the muscles compensate. These scans show how much tension is present and how the muscles are working, or overworking, throughout the body.

Put those three together and you have a clear picture of what is actually going on, not just where it hurts.

If you have been dealing with knee pain and want to understand what is driving it, comment ASSESS and let’s find help you find a solution.

Your central nervous system controls every organ, tissue, muscle and cell in your body. Yet it is one of the least talked about systems when it comes to everyday health.

Every day your nervous system is processing stress: deadlines, decisions, traffic, environment. All of it compounds over time and can start to affect different areas of your health in ways that are not always obvious.

That is why understanding how your nervous system is functioning matters.

At Atlaxis we use three tools to assess this:

Heart rate variability: one of the most recognised markers for how the body is adapting to daily demands.

Thermography scanning: measures heat patterns across the body and gives us a picture of autonomic nervous system activity and areas of potential inflammation.

EMG muscle scanning: shows how much tension and activity is present in the muscles along the spine.

If you want to understand how your nervous system is functioning and what that means for your long term health, DM us to find out more.

Suffering from disc bulges, lower back pain or sciatica? This is worth understanding.

Your spinal discs are the cushions between every vertebra. When that gel centre pushes through the outer layer and hits a nerve, that’s a disc bulge. And that’s where the pain comes from.

Non-surgical spinal decompression works by taking targeted pressure off the affected disc, restoring the pumping motion, reducing compression and helping the disc rehydrate naturally.

But first you need to know which disc is affected and whether decompression is right for your situation.

Comment DECOMP and we’ll see if you’re the right fit.

Most people treating pain have never actually seen where the inflammation is.

This thermal imaging technology pinpoints exactly where inflammation is present in the body, how significant it is, and which structures it is coming from. For sciatica, lower back pain and knee pain, this changes how we approach care entirely.

What makes it particularly useful is the ability to rescan every few weeks and track changes objectively over time, so we can see in real terms whether the body is moving in the right direction.

If you have been dealing with ongoing pain and want to understand what is actually happening beneath the surface, DM us ‘THERMPIX’ to find out more.

If your disc, your pelvis and your glutes had a conversation, here’s what they’d be saying.

When pelvic alignment is off, the discs above it stop moving the way they should. Discs rely on movement to get their nutrients which meansno movement, no hydration.

Some muscles compensate by tightening, others switch off. Most people address the tight and weak muscles without ever looking at what is driving it.

Spinal decompression creates a negative pressure inside the disc, the opposite of the compression causing the problem. Non-surgical and targeted at the source.

We have a special offer that includes all assessments, X-rays, scans and access to the decompression table. Comment “decomp” below and we will be in touch.

12 years as a chiropractor. Here is why pain keeps coming back.

Treating the pain instead of the cause. Not properly identifying what is driving the issue in the first place.

Stopping care the moment things start to feel better. Never tracking whether progress is actually happening. And lifestyle habits that never changed.

These are the five reasons we see people end up back where they started.

If you are looking for a long term approach rather than short term relief, DM us “SOLUTION” and we will take it from there.

Physio vs chiro — what is the actual difference?

When someone comes in with knee pain, a physio will typically assess and treat the knee directly, mobilisation, stretches, rehabilitation exercises focused on the area of complaint.

A chiropractor looks at the whole body first.

If your pelvis is out of alignment, it changes how load distributes through the hip, knee and ankle on both sides. The knee is often where the stress shows up, but not necessarily where it starts.

That is the core difference. One approach focuses on the site of pain. The other looks for what is driving it.

If you have been dealing with knee pain and want to understand what is actually behind it, DM us to book an assessment.
