Influenza A has increased in our community over the past 2 months with the recorded number of cases reaching over 500 people per month in Tasmania.

It is not too late to immunise yourself and your family against influenza A.

Immunisations are available by calling our reception team on 62951460, or discussing with our nurses and doctors at your booked appointments during the next 4 weeks.

I was born and raised in our beautiful Huon Valley, where I am proud to still call home.

In my spare time, I enjoy crafting and sewing, which allow me to express my creativity, as well as spending quality time with my family and pets. I love travelling, exploring new places and going camping, making the most of the outdoors and creating lasting memories with the people closest to me. Family, creativity and new experiences are important to me, and I enjoy embracing opportunities to make meaningful memories.

I have a strong connection to the Huon Valley and value being part of its close-knit community. Having lived here all my life, I appreciate the strong sense of belonging, the relationships I have built and the support and connection that make our community such a special place to call home.

Cygnet Family Practice Urgent and After Hours Service
Last week we met with Health Minister Archer to discuss options to continue serving the Huon Valley Community from July 1st next year.
We are hopeful that between the state and federal government, there can be a solution to keep this multi-award winning health service. The nurse practitioner and paramedic innovative model of health care is aligned with both state and federal government health plans.
