Western NSW Primary Health Network works to provide local communities with better access to improved health services. We work closely with General Practice, other health care providers, Local Health Districts, hospitals and the broader community to ensure services meet the health needs of the region. Our area covers both Far West and Western NSW Local Health Districts. The WNSW PHN’s Aboriginal mo

At campfires, people cook from the earth, with abundant natural foods they’ve hunted and gathered. As a community, people respect the earth and their country, united in a healthy lifestyle.

This Sunday, 14 June, is World Blood Donor Day! 🩸

Every year countries around the world celebrate World Blood Donor Day (WBDD). The event serves to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products and to thank voluntary, unpaid blood donors for their life-saving gifts of blood.

In Australia, a new blood donor is needed every 5 minutes.

Make a blood donation in honour of World Blood Donor Day.

Head to www.lifeblood.com.au/donor-centre to find your local donor centre.

WNSW PHN was pleased to welcome over 100 attendees to the Parkes Dying to Know Day last month.

The day highlighted strong community engagement in end-of-life planning and care. Attendees heard about a range of topics including advance care planning, palliative care, carer supports, legal considerations, and wellbeing approaches.

The event was delivered in partnership with Western NSW Local Health District, End of life Doulas - Preparing the Way, Carer Gateway, and WNSW PHN, demonstrating the value of collaboration in supporting community awareness and confidence.

Thank you to North Parkes Mines (Evolution Mining) and Parkes Services Club for their generous support, as well as our MC, Joy Paddison, and the range of speakers who shared practical insights and local service information.
