is a Not-for-Profit 60 Bed Residential Aged Care Facility comprising of 40 Aged Care beds and a purpose built 20 bed specialised Memory Support Unit. 12 Independent Living Units and 13 Serviced Apartments are also located on-site. We believe that connecting with local community is a vital piece of the overall wellbeing of our residents.
Each week, we do this through a variety of outings and activities.

We had some very special visitors at our home this afternoon as Wilbur's Wildlife brought the Australian bush right to our doorstep. Our residents, relatives, and staff had an incredible time engaging with a variety of native creatures, including a ringtail possum, a spotted python, a turtle, frill neck lizards, a stick insect and a green tree frog 🐸 🐢

It was fantastic to watch the room’s confidence grow as people moved from curious observation to a gentle pat, and eventually, many even found the courage to hold their scaly or prickly new friend 🐍 🦎

Today we celebrated the amazing mums at Riverview with a special Spa Day just for Mum 💐✨

Our residents enjoyed a beautiful afternoon of pampering, relaxation, and making them feel appreciated, valued, and loved. A wonderful way to celebrate all the incredible women within our community 🩷

Our staff also got into the spirit, dressing-down for the occasion and giving our residents a good chuckle by wearing pyjamas to work ☺️

A huge thank you to Christine, one of our wonderful team members, for gifting us the most breathtaking donation of blooms today. Her kindness turned our afternoon into a vibrant celebration as residents spent their leisure time arranging the beautiful stems and filling their home with colour 💐✨

🥕🐰 Riverview Easter Games 🐰🥕

We wrapped up our Easter festivities with our first-ever Easter Games, and let’s just say, things got a little competitive (and a lot hilarious!) 🌟

We kicked things off with the ‘Great Bunny Tail Scoop’, blindfolding both residents and staff to see how good they were at filling their buckets full of bunny tails, using only a spatula! We think more tails ended up everywhere BUT the bucket 😜 

Next, we made sure nobody went hungry at the ‘Hungry Bunny Toss’ followed by the ‘Ear-Resistable Ring Toss’, a huge shout out to our brave staff and volunteer Julie who wore giant inflatable ears while residents perfected their aim! 🐰

To top it all off, our staff finished with an epic Easter Relay Race! Between the hula hoops, skipping ropes and the classic egg-and-spoon race, we haven’t laughed that hard in a long time 😂

Pizza making was in full swing this afternoon after a request was made to have pizza on the menu at our recent Resident and Representatives meeting. So of course our Lifestyle Team decided to turn the idea into a fun hands-on activity 🍕

With plenty of toppings to choose from, everyone had the chance to create their very own pizza masterpiece 🌟

It was wonderful to see many of our residents getting involved, sharing ideas and enjoying the simple pleasure of making (and eating!) something delicious together 😋

After weeks of getting crafty and creative, our residents finally debuted our “It’s a Small World After All” float at the 69th Annual Loxton Mardi Gras. It was a spectacular explosion of colour, creativity, and community! 🌍 🎶

The real star of the show? Teddy the cat, who didnt want to miss out on all the fun 🐱 ✨
