Your lower back pain is NOT a lower back issue

1. Your lower back is doing everyone else’s job
The hips and glutes are supposed to share the load. When they don’t show up, the lower back takes the load and starts hurting.

2. Tight hips steal range from your lower back
If your hips can’t move, your lower back donates its range instead to compensate . Fix the hips, stop overloading the back.

3. Your posture isn’t the cause , it’s the result
Posture is due to your habits and movement preferences. Change what you do or strengthen movements you are weak at and the posture follows.

Getting coached made me realise how much detail goes into a “simple” squat setup.

Creating a stable shelf before unracking, learning how to actually brace and keeping that pressure throughout the lift made my squats feel way more controlled and efficient. This is especially true under heavier loads.

And the funny thing is, the better I got technically, the less I had to overthink once I stepped under the bar.
