Ruth and Megan have joined our maternity team, while Caroline is working at Ramsay Clinic Mitcham while completing the Transition to Specialty Practice program in the mental health stream.

We want to extend our gratitude to a beautiful local family, who have donated a Cuddle Cot to Mitcham Private Hospital in memory of their baby boy.

After experiencing the loss of their son during pregnancy, and while navigating their own grief, they raised $6,500 for a Cuddle Cot through Bears Of Hope Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support to provide support for other parents experiencing loss.

A Cuddle Cot is a temperature-controlled cooling bassinet that allows parents to spend meaningful time with their baby after death, supporting compassionate bereavement care.

"It was such a beautiful morning," said the family. "And the perfect way to honour our little boy."

Our Teddy Bear Hospital was open for business this week, with our paediatric patients invited to bring along their favourite teddy bear - or in some cases, a dinosaur! 🦖

Together they enjoyed a fun and interactive experience as their cuddly companions received bandages, theatre caps, blood pressure checks, and plenty of TLC from our wonderful team.

The Teddy Bear Hospital is a fantastic way to help children become more familiar with the hospital environment, reduce anxiety, and make healthcare a little less scary - all while having lots of fun.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make this morning such a memorable experience for our young patients.

Our team had a wonderful time at the Pregnancy Babies and Children's Expo last weekend, connecting with expectant parents and sharing the support we offer throughout pregnancy, birth, and early parenting.

Midwives Gillian and Kirsty from our maternity unit, Allison and Amy from our Early Parenting Centre, and Maternity Liaison Officer Sisly spent a lovely weekend meeting everyone alongside our Ramsay Health Care sister hospitals.
