Andrei’s first Father’s Day is a very special one, with baby Sebastian almost ready to go home after more than 16 weeks in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit 🍼🏥
Baby Sebastian was born prematurely at just 627g, needing a period of time on the ventilator and frequent ultrasounds and blood tests. He now weighs over 3.5kg and is feeding well, and the Newborn Services team are starting to plan his discharge. Andrei and Jonna can’t wait to get him home!
Congratulations, Andrei, on your first Father's Day. You’ll be a great dad 😊
Thank you to all the dads who are there for sick kids, and who are supporting families or loved ones through challenging times.
Today, we also remember the dads who are no longer with us, and those spending today without their children.
To all the fathers, father figures, grandfathers and caregivers in our community – thank you for the love and support you give every day, and happy Father’s Day! ❤️
