Over the past few months, I’ve had a number of clients surpass 30kg in total weight loss.

And every single one of their journeys looked completely different.

I think it’s important to acknowledge that when you’re working towards a big goal, the journey isn’t always going to go smoothly.

Yes on paper, the science might suggest you can lose around 0.5 - 1kg per week.

But life doesn’t always follow the plan.

Unexpected setbacks, injuries, stress, changing circumstances and periods where everything feels harder than it should.

And it’s during these moments that your commitment to your goal really gets tested.

Because if you give up every time things get difficult, you’re essentially deciding that staying comfortable is more important than achieving what you set out to do.

The people who succeed aren’t necessarily the ones who had the easiest journey.

They’re the ones who kept finding a way forward, even when things weren’t going their way.

Sometimes you need to adjust the plan, you need to slow down and sometimes you need to take a break.

But you don’t need to abandon the goal.

The mindset has to be: I’ll find a way. I might not know exactly how long it’s going to take, but I’ll get there 💪

This Taco Beef Spud Bowl recipe from my coaching app is next level 🚀

I had a pretty big serve myself, 700+ calories and 55g protein 😎

But if you want a slightly lower calorie version, use these quantities below;

150g extra lean beef mince
250g spud lite potatoes
25g sour cream
40g avocado
1 tsp olive oil (in the pan & on the potatoes)
Salsa mix (hardly any cals)

Totals = ~500 Cals with 39g Protein

Starting is exciting. Seeing results is exciting. But the bit in the middle?

That’s usually pretty repetitive.

Same meals.

Same workouts.

Same habits.

Same plan.

And that’s exactly where most people start looking for something new.

The mistake is thinking the process should always feel exciting.

It won’t.

Sometimes you just need to keep doing the boring stuff for long enough to let it work.

Remember that getting great results actually involves becoming the type of person that can achieve and maintain those results.

This big shift in identity can take some time.

Nobody ever got there by quitting when it got hard.

5 low-calorie desserts you can grab straight from the supermarket 👀🍦

Because fat loss doesn’t mean giving up dessert.

It’s about finding swaps that still hit the spot without blowing half your daily calories.

Save this for your next supermarket trip 👌

“Fart walking” might be a ridiculous name 😂 but the habit itself is actually pretty great.

A short walk after a meal can help with blood sugar control, digestion, daily movement and overall metabolic health.

It’s not extreme and it’s not complicated.

Just another small habit that, repeated consistently over years that can contribute to better health and longevity 💪

If you read nothing else, read slide 5 👆

Can you lose 20kg in less than 6 months? Definitely.

Does that mean that most people can or should aim to do that? Not necessarily.

It’s important to remember that you’re human.

You’ve got family, friends, kids, holidays, random events like concerts, celebratory meals for accomplishments throughout the year…

Things happen. Old habits creep up on you. Disaster strikes.

So yes while it may be possible to lose 20kg in 15-20 weeks, it might take you 8 months. And that’s fine.

Then the 4 months after to learn how to maintain it and avoid rebounding straight back to where you came from.

In a world of instant gratification it’s important to remember that ultimately it doesn’t matter how “long” it takes.

What matters is that you don’t quit, continue to focus on self improvement and understand that healthy habits and lifestyle changes are not some “quick fix”,

But something that you will continue to do for years to come 💪

Consistency gets much easier when you stop relying on motivation and start implementing systems.

A good plan removes decisions, creates structure and gives you something clear to follow even when life gets busy.

That’s what I try to help every client create.

Not perfection. Just a good system that makes doing the healthy things easier, more often and long-term.

Some people only fail to get the results they want because they stop during the part where it doesn’t look like it’s working yet.

Progress is rarely dramatic day to day.

It’s weeks and months of training, eating well, getting your steps in and repeating the basics for a long period of time.

This is why following a proven system matters.

Because then all you need to work on is having the patience and consistency to actually follow it, instead of wondering if the plan is actually going to work.

If you’re tired of constantly starting again, this is exactly the kind of simple structure I help my clients create 🤝

Apparently “boy kibble” is a new wellness trend 😂

Which is basically just: Protein, Carbs, Fats, Veggies, Sauce.

In other words… a simple, balanced meal you can make quickly and actually repeat consistently.

The name is funny.

The concept is actually pretty solid.

Nutrition doesn’t need to be complicated to work.

In fact overcomplicating things often just makes it harder to be consistent.

And consistency is key.

Some people only track their food and train consistently when they’re trying to lose weight.

So they only ever experience training consistently while eating in a calorie deficit - which can feel a lot harder.

Fat loss isn’t supposed to be the only goal or the only reason for dialling in your training & nutrition.

The real win is learning how to lose the weight, maintain it, eat enough to fuel your body properly, train hard and actually feel good doing it 💪💪

That’s a big part of what I teach my clients.

Not just how to get the fat loss result, but how to live long-term once they’ve got it.

If you are constantly experiencing rebound weight gain after a diet and feeling like you have to start all over again 6 months later

It’s probably because you’ve never learned how to exit a diet properly and what life looks like in order for you to maintain those results long-term
