👀 Save this list
5 things that are actually worth the money when it comes to your health 👇🏻

I’m really big with my clients on not spending hundreds of dollars unnecessarily on health products and trends, or thousands of dollars on expensive protocols or treatments.

But there are a few things that are totally worth where you put your 💰 and here they are:

1. Protein - the best quality you can afford

2. Supplements - soooo many cheap options just won’t do what you need them to. Practitioner grade all the way

3. Coffee ☕️- especially if (like me) it’s the first thing you put in your body in the morning 😂

4. Testing - the right functional lab tests will save you years of searching for answers

5. (This one’s free) Trust your gut. The only investment is your energy to listen and it always knows 🌸 💫

Sometimes the problem really is you. Ooft. That hits doesn’t it? (Weirdly, I think that’s incredibly empowering.)

Specifically what I’m talking about is the responsibility each and every one of us has for the energy we bring into a room.

That energy has two parts:

1. Your physical energy.
It determines your effort, how you engage, what you offer, and the capacity of your body and mind to actually get things done.

2. Your frequency energy.
The less tangible energy people feel from you. Your presence, attitude, emotional state and the way you affect the people and environments around you.

Your energy has far more power than you realise to shape the outcomes you want. But 90% of it has to come from you.

How you eat. How you take care of yourself. How you manage your mind. How you tend to your bandwidth. How you show up, both in person and in presence.

All of it has an immediate effect on your life.

There was a time in my life where if someone had told me this I would have unleashed a bit of South African on them 😂 until I realised that reflection and taking responsibility ie. growth was the most freeing thing in the entire world.

I always tell people to start with their nutrition and build their energy from there (your food literally builds your mood).

Because when your body has more to give, you have more to give.

Ultimately the energy you bring to your life is yours to take responsibility for and that can be the single most empowering mental shift you will ever have - if you let it. It was for me💗

Remember - whatever you’re not changing, you’re choosing.

“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”

I left this quote from Wayne Dyer with a room of 400 on Sunday, and it probably sums up so much of what I’ve learned about overcoming adversity.

I’ve had chapters of my life that I never would have chosen. But over time, I’ve realised that while we don’t always get to choose what happens to us, we have far more power than we think over what happens next.

On Sunday I shared five of the biggest lessons that the hardest pain of my life taught me. Most importantly, the responsibility we take that can only ever be ours for creating a different life - no matter what cards we’ve been dealt.

A huge thank you to the team at No Limits Perth for inviting me to speak, and for creating an event centred around humanity, kindness, and what becomes possible when people keep moving forward.

It was a very special room to be part of. ❤️

Me: enters the group chat. 👀💅🏻

In your 20s - you have way more progesterone and generally better carb tolerance.

In your 30s - sleep, stress and hormones start to shift, muscle becomes more important and insulin sensitivity can start to change.

In your 40s - everything changes, but that’s not a bad thing 🫶 Hormone metabolism matters more, fibre becomes essential and protein quality REALLY matters.

Imagine if more of us were taught to change the way we eat as our bodies change too? xx

If I had a dollar… 💰

So you’ve just been told your blood tests are “normal”.

But you still feel rubbish.

Here are 3 things I would do do next:

1. ☝🏻 Make a timeline of what changed and when.
Write down every symptom, even the small ones. When did it start? What came first? When is it better and when is it worse? What weird things are you noticing (especially the weird ones.) Symptoms CAN come in cycles. Often the pattern says more than the number on the blood test.

2. ☝🏻 Get copies of all your results.
Don’t settle for “everything was normal”. Ask for the actual results, get copies of your old ones, and keep them so you can track changes over time.

3. ☝🏻 Get another set of eyes on it. 👀
I know it can be so frustrating to not get the answers you want. But - if you still don’t feel right, keep asking questions. You know your body better than anyone.

Sometimes you just need the right person to help you connect the dots and work out what makes sense to do next.

I’ll look at your symptoms, diet, health history, existing results and possible root causes - as well as whether further testing might be useful.

I have spaces open for 60 minute online health consults.

Pop me a message 💫

And we’ll figure it out together x

Jess

P.S. You don’t need to know what testing you need before you book. That’s part of what we can work out together. 💖

We need 10 x more progesterone than estrogen. Has anyone checked your progesterone levels? 👀

Reply: PROGESTERONE and I’ll pop you a link for how I can help xx
