Ocean Gardens is an independent retirement living village with home care support in City Beach, Western Australia.

Ocean Gardens is not like other retirement villages. We are a not-for-profit independent living village in beautiful City Beach. Ocean Gardens is an incorporated association governed by its members and a board of independent directors. We are nestled upon 6.5 beautiful hectares, offering stunning residences and first-class facilities within a private coastal setting. And as a single destination, everything you see at Ocean Gardens is the start and end of where our attention is focused.

Staying active, strong and steady 💪🌿

Our Stability & Balance classes run every Tuesday and Thursday at 10am and are led by Niall from the Ocean Gardens Wellness Team.

These sessions help residents improve strength, mobility and confidence in a fun and supportive environment, while enjoying some great company along the way. ✨

🌿 Meet Ocean Gardens' Newest Gardeners – the Quenda!

We’re excited to share that quendas have made Ocean Gardens their home! These amazing native marsupials are known as Nature’s Gardeners because their nightly digging helps improve soil health, increase water pe*******on, and support the growth of healthy plants.

If you spot the small conical holes around our gardens, you've likely seen the signs of a hardworking quenda. Keep an eye out at dawn and dusk, you might even be lucky enough to see one!

To help protect our newest residents, please:
🐾 Don't leave food out, as human food can make them sick.
🐾 Keep pet cats indoors to ensure our local wildlife stays safe.

Get creative with clay at Ocean Gardens! 🎨

We’re delighted to welcome back Sculpture by the Sea artist Monia Allegre for another hands-on clay workshop.

Her previous session was such a wonderful success that we simply had to invite her back. Come along for a relaxed and creative afternoon as Monia guides you through making your own clay creation.

New class is coming to Ocean Gardens this July!

Our Falls Prevention class is designed to help residents improve balance, strength, mobility and confidence through gentle, supportive exercises. Suitable for a range of levels, the class can be adapted to individual abilities and will also include safe exercises to continue at home.

Join us every Tuesday at 2:00pm in the Gym.

There’s plenty happening across the Wellness Program this month, with Virtual Reality sessions, Walk & Talk, On The Fly Fridays, Chair Fit, Tai Chi, Stretch & Restore, Stability & Balance and more. A wonderful way to stay active, connected and confident.

Pasta Night is coming to Ocean Gardens! 🍝

Join us on Wednesday 8 July for a cosy evening of delicious, house-made pasta and good company.

The kitchen will be serving a selection of comforting pasta dishes, from familiar favourites to something a little different to try. It’s the perfect winter night to relax, enjoy a beautiful meal and let someone else do the cooking.

Dinner includes dessert and is $35 per person.

Bring your appetite! Generous portions are definitely on the menu!

Village life has been full of connection, creativity and celebration this month at Ocean Gardens.

Residents came together for a wonderful WA Day Celebration filled with food, music, dancing and community spirit, while Meg’s final Sunday Sundowner marked the end of a much-loved program that has brought joy to quiet weekends since 2023.

We also enjoyed the Sculpture by the Sea Workshop, giving residents the chance to get creative, learn something new and share a relaxed moment together.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make these events so special. It’s the people, stories and shared experiences that make Ocean Gardens such a warm and vibrant community.
