So Tallow got us started on the push up challenge.
And with him leaving I wasn’t sure whether I’d do it again. But a group of my friends are getting on board so I thought I’d jump in with them.
And also we had a personal experience where a long term acquaintance chose to end their life a month ago. It’s really relevant that we all need to know someone cares & the darkest days don’t last forever. Keep posted for links on how to donate. We are choosing to support headspace with our donations

A little refresher for those wanting to use Rocktape to manage knee complaints. It is important to use good quality tape. Cheaper brands don’t have the same elastic recoil & therefore will not perform as well.

Total Balance Osteopathy wants to introduce our new massage therapist- Peter Harrison.
He is currently finishing a Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy and holding a Certificate IV in Massage Therapy.
He has a keen interest in sport, sport science and biology, he enjoys using his knowledge and hands-on skills to help individuals recover from injuries, manage pain and improve overall health – using soft tissue techniques such as petrissage, trigger points, friction, stretches, MFR and METs.
With a background working on farms and in the disability support sector, Peter brings a range of general life experience to his practice. He is also a Fantasy novelist, a poet and a lover of camping, hiking, board games and composing music.

Chanthorn one of our Khmer friends sharing how to perform a lying Sciatic nerve glide or nerve flossing technique.
I like the lying technique as I find patients can relax more than the seated techniques.
It’s important to try to keep the rest of the body relaxed.
- Have the leg you are gliding at 90 degrees to the table.
- as you extend the knee ( straighten the lower part of the leg)
- tilt the head back (chin to the ceiling)
- make sure you pull the toes back towards your head as well.
- then as you relax the foot, bring the chin back down & allow the knee to bend again.
-Repeat 10-15 x on one leg & then change sides.
- Do this under guidance from a qualified health practitioner as there are circumstances where this may not be appropriate.

I can’t tell you how many patients I’ve treated thinking they are doing “the right thing” joining Pilates classes in large gym classes with a single instructor. The large classes with no prerequisite one of one training often means class participants are performing the exercises incorrectly. Which is often missed in large gym class Pilates classes. As the numbers are too large for individual correction
And they only realise this after sustaining an injury.
It is only a great routine if performed correctly with adequate supervision. Buyer beware

Soo last week I was fortunate enough to be asked to present a little of our story around the support we provide in Cambodia. It was an honour to share how this came about & the journey thus far.
And I’m Quietly very proud of what we’ve achieved so far & more excited for where this journey will take us.
