The Speech Project is hiring! We’re looking for a Speech Pathologist to join our team.

We’re proud to share that we’ve been successful in securing the Rural Doctors Workforce Agency GradFirst Employer Grant, supporting the recruitment of a new graduate Speech Pathologist. This program is designed to build a sustainable rural workforce and strengthen access to health services across regional South Australia.

Through this, we’re able to offer a well-supported graduate position with a range of financial and professional development benefits. We also offer relocation support, where applicable, to support a smooth transition to the Riverland.

It's Speech Pathology Week 2025!

This weeks focus is on the essential role communication plays across all areas of life. Communication is more than just spoken words, it may include written language, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices such as speech-generating tablets, Key Word Sign, Auslan, gestures, facial expressions, body language, eye gaze, tone of voice, as well as pictures and symbols.

Communication is key to how we connect, learn, and engage with the world around us.

The Speech Project has a new home!
We're now located at 130 Renmark Avenue, Renmark.

A big thank you to Nathan and the amazing OTFC team for welcoming us and supporting our work over the past two years — we’ve loved being part of your community.

Last week I had the privilege of attending the 3-day Speech Pathology Australia Conference in Adelaide, thanks to a generous grant from the Rural Doctors Workforce Agency.

It was a great opportunity to learn from some of Australia’s leading Speech Pathologists and explore the latest innovations in the field. I’m excited to bring these new learnings back to the Riverland and continue supporting our local community with up-to-date and evidence-based practices.

It has been a huge year for The Speech Project! Rhett has supported over 50 families throughout the Riverland region during 2024. It has been an absolute privilege to work within the local community.

A BIG thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way. We are looking forward to an exciting 2025, kicking off with something very special— we are getting married in January!
