The Swan Hill June Racing Carnival is always a standout on the local calendar. A few of the Seed girls enjoyed a well-earned afternoon catching up, supporting a great community event and enjoying everything our region has to offer. šŸ‡āœØšŸ’›

Meet Lizzie šŸ¤

Lizzie joined the Seed Ability team in January 2026 after completing her final placement with us in 2025.

Originally from Barham, she completed her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) at La Trobe University in Bendigo and was drawn to returning to a regional community to begin her career.

Lizzie is part of our Graduate Program, where she’s been:
• Shadowing experienced clinicians in real sessions
• Attending foundational workshops
• Gradually building her caseload as confidence develops
• Receiving weekly 1:1 supervision and ongoing feedback

She enjoys working across the lifespan, with interests in both paediatric and adult therapy, and brings a thoughtful, individualised approach - particularly through play-based therapy with children.

We’re so glad you’re part of the team Lizzie 🌱

Stepping into our 11th year at Seed Ability 🌱

From one clinician to a growing multidisciplinary team, this is what Seed looks like today.

Paediatric. Adult. Older adult services.
Admin, HR, and strong systems behind the scenes.
A team committed to delivering meaningful outcomes for our community.

But growth isn’t just about numbers.

It’s about creating real opportunities…
for local employment,
for students stepping into allied health careers,
and for families to access quality support close to home.

And as we continue to grow, we’re always looking for the right people to grow with us.

We’re building something that lasts.

The NDIS is entering a significant period of reform.

While these changes are not all finalised yet, they have been formally announced and are expected to roll out over the coming years.

The focus is on improving long-term sustainability - but this will likely impact:
• how people access the NDIS
• how funding is allocated
• how flexible plans are

For many families, this may feel uncertain.

At Seed Ability, we’re staying across these changes closely so we can continue to advocate, support and guide you through what’s ahead.

If you have questions about how this may impact you or your child, please reach out šŸ¤

This Mother’s Day at Seed, we’re honouring the mums and guardians who give so much of themselves every single day. If you’re accessing our service, whether for yourself or someone you love - we’d love to gift you a small moment back, with a complimentary self-care pack.

✨ Available from Monday 4th to Friday 8th of May
šŸŽ Limited to 30 packs

A heartfelt thank you to the incredible local businesses who have come together to make this possible. Your generosity and community spirit mean so much - not just to us, but to the families we support every day.

We’re so excited to officially introduce Hannah to the Seed Ability team šŸ’«

Hannah joined us in January as our HR, Recruitment & Marketing Lead, bringing with her a wealth of experience across banking, marketing, community engagement and business operations.

A familiar face to the Swan Hill community, Hannah has a genuine passion for people, connection and creating meaningful impact - something that aligns so strongly with everything we stand for at Seed.

Since starting with us, Hannah has already made such a positive impact behind the scenes - supporting our team, strengthening our systems, and helping us continue to grow.

We feel incredibly lucky to have her on this journey with us šŸ¤

Make sure you say hello if you see her around!

Celebrating these two ✨

A big congratulations to Allira and Lizzie on graduating from last week šŸŽ“

Allira joined us in February, relocating from Bendigo with her partner to call Swan Hill home.
Lizzie is a familiar face - after completing an 8-week placement with us last year, she commenced her graduate year in January, relocating from Wakool.

We feel incredibly lucky to have both of them as part of the Seed Ability team as they begin their OT careers šŸ’›

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be formally introducing Allira and Lizzie and sharing more about the areas of OT they are working in at Seed Ability.
