NAIDOC Week 2026

50 Years Of Deadly.

July 6-12th marks the 50th Anniversary of NAIDOC Week being celebrated! 50 years, half a century, 5 decades of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Culture being recognized and commemorated in Australia.

We reflect upon the strength of First Nations Elders, Organisations and Peoples leading up to the present day.

At TLP this week we display the letters ‘NAIDOC Week’ coloured in by the children from Gunai Lidj Childcare Centre. Thank you to the Centre for being involved and a big thank you to our Physio Cadet, Emma, who has put in the work to get this celebration off the ground.

We look forward to continue celebrating the next 50 years

My quick summary and opinion on the changes to the NDIS as announced today minister for health Mark Butler. Mostly I agree, but with some caveats. I want to see the NDIS last for decades to come, so changes are needed and these plans are pretty sensible.
