My breastfeeding journey has not been an easy ride with no.3. Itâs pushed me to my limits in so many ways, caused me to question my ability as a mother, but also helped me down an incredible journey of healing, with some beautiful wins and moments to celebrate along the way. I canât believe weâve made it all the way to 6 months đ
Iâm not sure how much longer I will last, but I though I would share some of the lessons Iâve learned along the way, and whatâs helped me most as weâve dealt with: tongue ties, lip ties, laser frenectomy, breast refusal, triple feeding, mixed feeding, low weight, bottle preference, and more.
Itâs honestly incredible what we go through as mothers, and I surprised myself each day as I continue to stretch and push my capacity. I definitely did not have his in my mind when I was planning out my postpartum 3rd time around late last year. But at the same time itâs taught me to be able to let go of expectations, to ride that rollercoaster journey of motherhood, and just take each day as it comes.
While of course, celebrating every little win along the way.
