Happy Global Peer Support Celebration Day!

Today, H.O.P.E. celebrates our amazing peer support workers and the incredible difference they make in the lives of others.

This year’s theme, “Peer Support Belongs Here,” reminds us that everyone deserves support rooted in lived experience, understanding, connection, and hope.

To our dedicated peer support team, THANK YOU for sharing your experiences, offering a listening ear, encouraging recovery, and reminding others that they are not alone. Your compassion and commitment make a meaningful difference in our community, and we want you to know how much you are valued and appreciated!

Today, and every day, we celebrate you and the important work you do. 💙

Peer support belongs here. Hope belongs here. Recovery belongs here.

Happy Thanksgiving from HOPE! 🌻

Our offices will be closed on Monday, October 12th for Thanksgiving.

We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday filled with warmth, laughter, and time with family and friends.

Remember, that gratitude doesn't have to be about the big things. Sometimes, it's the little moments, a kind word, a friendly smile, or knowing someone cares that make all the difference. We are thankful for our wonderful HOPE community!

May this weekend bring moments of gratitude, connection, and hope.

Wishing you all a very Happy Thanksgiving! 🧡

World Mental Health Day 🌎 October 10, 2026

Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change

Today, we recognize World Mental Health Day and the importance of truly listening to people with lived experience of mental health challenges.

Mental health awareness is important, but it must go beyond awareness. It means listening without judgment, respecting people’s experiences, and ensuring that those who have lived through mental health challenges have a meaningful voice in shaping the services, supports, and decisions that affect their lives.

At H.O.P.E., we know that lived experience matters. Sometimes, connecting with someone who understands because they have walked a similar path can make all the difference. Peer support reminds us that we are not alone, that our experiences have value, and that recovery is possible.

Everyone deserves to be heard, understood, respected, and supported. By listening to lived experiences and working together, we can help build a more compassionate and inclusive community where no one has to face their mental health journey alone.

💚 Real voices deserve to be heard. Real experiences deserve to matter. And real change begins when we listen.

Plans are in full force for our annual Client Christmas party. The planning committee needs your help! Donations are needed for door prizes. We’re also seeking sponsorship and cash donations of whatever amount you’re able to give. Your assistance helps to offset the costs of a full turkey dinner for our clients and gifts from Santa for their children. For more information, contact Kerri Ann Bosnjak at 519-752-2998, ext.

A HUGE THANK YOU to the wonderful staff at Riverview Terrace Retirement Residence 💙

Once again, the amazing staff at Riverview Terrace have held a bake sale in support of H.O.P.E. and our peer support programs, and we couldn’t be more grateful!

We are so fortunate to have such wonderful community partners who continue to support the work we do and believe in the importance of mental health and peer support.

A special thank-you to our longtime volunteer, Anita, for helping make this happen! Anita, we truly appreciate your dedication to H.O.P.E. and everything you do to support our programs and the people we serve. We are so lucky to have you as part of our H.O.P.E. family! 💙

Your generosity truly makes a difference! Thanks to your contribution, our fundraising total has now climbed to over $12,000! 🎉

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone at Riverview Terrace and to Anita for your continued support and for helping us make a difference in the lives of those in our community. We appreciate you more than words can say! 🌻

💚 Supporting Walk for HOPE 💚

Our residents came together to support Walk for HOPE, an annual Brantford fundraiser supporting HOPE Brant and its peer-support programs for people living with mental health challenges.

With the help of our amazing kitchen team, we held a fresh cupcake fundraiser 🧁, and our residents were happy to come together to support this meaningful cause.

We were especially proud to present our donation to one of our residents, who volunteers with H.O.P.E. 💚 It was such a special moment to see the support come full circle within our own community.

Thank you to our residents and kitchen team for making this fundraiser such a wonderful success!
