Strong communities start with accessible support.

Last year, Willowbridge walked alongside more than 2,200 community members across Brantford and surrounding areas. Through mental health counselling, service coordination, respite care and behaviour supports, our team helps individuals and families navigate life's challenges with dignity and confidence.

Thank you for trusting us to be part of your journey. Visit the link in our bio to learn more about our community programs.

Everyone deserves safe, healthy and respectful relationships.

Today, we are proud to officially launch Your Body. Your Rights: Building Safe Relationships!

Building Safe Relationships is a free Ontario-wide program created to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities build confidence, understand personal rights and stay safe.

Want to know what makes this unique program so special?

💜 Co-designed with lived experience: Paid advisors with lived experience at Willowbridge guided the words, illustrations and activities every step of the way.
💜 Centred in culture and community: Our collaboration with Community Living Six Nations "Ronatahskats" helped ensure the curriculum and learning tools honour Indigenous culture and diverse community perspectives.
💜 Backed by research: A dedicated research team from Brock University, Wilfrid Laurier University and Nipissing University helped shape the curriculum and evaluate its outcomes.
💜 Powered by 20+ partners: Willowbridge is leading this project alongside more than 20 partner agencies across the province.
💜 Free tools for everyone: Access our easy-to-read guidebook, educational videos, caregiver tools and upcoming 6-week learning groups across Ontario.

After more than 40 years in health and social services, our Executive Director, Leslie Josling, will retire in February 2027.

Leslie is the kind of leader who makes people believe more is possible. From pioneering our four-day workweek to guiding the Safe Relationships Project and spearheading the Riverside Hub, she has always led by listening first and building with people, not for them.

While we are emotional to say goodbye, we are so excited for her next adventure!

Now, our Board is looking for Willowbridge’s next Chief Executive Officer to carry that momentum forward. If you have the drive, compassion and heart to lead an incredible team, we’d love to connect.

Community support in action!

Earlier this year, Emrick Mechanical LTD launched a fundraiser to support local agencies right here in Brantford. Last week, owner Chris stopped by our office to present us with a $600 donation toward our programs and services.

A huge thank you to Chris and the entire team at Emrick Mechanical for this generous gift. We are truly grateful for your partnership and your investment in building a stronger community!

Today, September 30, our team is wearing orange in honour of Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. 🧡

Today is a day to listen, reflect, and honour the survivors of residential schools, the children who never came home, and the families and communities impacted.

Wearing orange is a small step. We encourage everyone to take time today to learn more and reflect on how we can all support reconciliation.
