🦃 Thanksgiving Holiday Hours & Pet Safety Reminder

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Martin Veterinary Hospital! 🍂🐾

As we head into the Thanksgiving long weekend, we wanted to let you know about our holiday hours:

Saturday, October 10th: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Sunday, October 11th: Closed
Monday, October 12th: Closed for Thanksgiving
Tuesday, October 13th: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM

🍪 Annual Farley Foundation Bake Sale

When we reopen on Tuesday, stop by and join us for our Annual Bake Sale in support of Farley Month! We’ll have lots of delicious treats available for our clients to enjoy, with 100% of proceeds going to the Farley Foundation to help provide veterinary care to pets whose families are experiencing financial hardship.

If your pet needs food, medication, or other supplies before the long weekend, please contact us by phone or email and we’ll be happy to help arrange your order.

If you need pet food while we are closed, you can also order directly through our myVETstore and have it conveniently shipped to your home:

🐾 A Thanksgiving Reminder for Your Pets

While we're enjoying our Thanksgiving meals with family and friends, remember that some of our favourite holiday foods aren't safe for our pets. Avoid giving pets table scraps or leftovers unless you know they are safe for them.

Fatty or rich foods can cause stomach upset and potentially more serious problems, while foods such as chocolate, onions, garlic, grapes/raisins, alcohol, and foods containing xylitol can be toxic to pets. Bones and other food scraps can also pose choking or intestinal obstruction risks.

If your pet gets into something they shouldn't, don't wait for symptoms to appear. Contact your nearest emergency veterinary hospital.

Every October, our team is proud to raise funds for the Farley Foundation, helping eligible pet owners in Ontario access necessary veterinary care for their beloved pets. This is a cause that means so much to our team, and we have some fun ways to get involved throughout the month!

🧁 Farley Bake Sale - Tuesday, October 13th
Stop by Martin Veterinary Hospital anytime from 8 AM–7 PM and pick up a baked good! All proceeds from our bake sale will be donated to the Farley Foundation.

🎨 Templeton Colouring Contest
Pick up a special Templeton colouring page at the hospital and get creative! All ages are welcome to participate, and we’ll have a small prize for our winner at the end of the month!

Back-to-school season can be expensive, and we know household budgets are feeling the pressure. At Martin Veterinary Hospital, we want to make it a little easier to keep your pet’s health on the priority list.

For a limited time, receive 20% off your pet’s exam fee when you proceed with at least one veterinarian-recommended diagnostic test during the visit.

Qualifying diagnostics may include blood work, f***l testing, urinalysis, cytology, or another diagnostic test recommended by your veterinarian.

We are open tomorrow, Saturday, September 5th, for our regular hours, and will reopen Tuesday, September 8th with regular hours.
