Thinking about our friends and colleagues serving on the front lines of recovery this week.
As someone who spends time in a variety of recovery settings, I can only imagine how difficult these past few weeks have been.
Over the last month, Moncton’s shelters, street-level recovery centres, and outreach teams have responded to more than 1,000 overdoses—and that’s not including the incredible work of paramedics.
This week, I’m sending a little extra encouragement to those working in recovery. Your work matters, even on the hardest days.
If you know someone working in recovery, or an organization serving those affected by substance use in Moncton—consider reaching out with a word of encouragement this week. Professionals are people too. It may mean more than you realize.
