Men with diabetes develop erectile dysfunction earlier, more often, and more severely — and they respond less well to the standard pills.

The reason is mechanical rather than mysterious. Diabetes damages small blood vessels and the endothelium that lines them. The arteries supplying the p***s are among the smallest in the body, so they show it first.

That also makes it a useful early warning about the rest of your circulation.

The single biggest reason people don't book is not knowing what they're walking into. So, in order:

1. A conversation. Symptoms, how long, medications, what you've already tried. No forms to fill in a waiting room full of people.

The large majority of chronic prostatitis cases are chronic pelvic pain syndrome — no bacterial infection present, nothing for an antibiotic to act on. It's a pain and muscle syndrome involving the pelvic floor, nerves and blood flow.

Something we hear from partners, in various words, almost every week: it stopped being about s*x a long time ago.

What s*xual dysfunction does to a relationship is rarely the thing itself. It's the withdrawal — the avoided evenings, the early nights, the sudden unavailability, the explanation that never comes. The other person usually concludes they're the problem.

You are both welcome at the consultation. Plenty of our patients come as a couple, and plenty of first calls are made by the partner rather than the patient.

Premature ej*******on is the most common male s*xual complaint, and the one most often waved away as 'just nerves'.

It frequently isn't. There are neurological and vascular contributors — nerve sensitivity, blood flow, pelvic floor function — and they are treatable. Focused shockwave therapy is used to address that physiology directly.
