Let’s be real: watching the news right now feels like a direct assault on our collective well-being. 🌪️ But if you’re in Canada and feeling helpless about the violence of ICE and the rise of anti-immigration hate, I’ve got news for you: you aren’t powerless.

Neutrality isn’t an option when human rights are on the line. Ethics—and our basic humanity—demand that we stand up for the dignity and worth of every person, regardless of which side of the 49th parallel they’re on. 🇨🇦🇺🇸

From scrapping the STCA to supporting cross-border advocates, we have the power to turn our outrage into real, tangible action. ✊✨

If you’re feeling more anxious, tired, or unsettled lately, it’s not because you’re failing.

Your nervous system looks for safety inside your body, between people, and in the world around you — and the world is heavy right now.

Not being okay doesn’t mean you’re broken.
It means you’re human. If you’re indifferent, that’s not regulation. It’s the numbness systems of dominance and oppression are asking of you. We can have calm and be pi**ed and take action.

Calm body. Quiet mind.

not much of a trend follower…
but I couldn’t resist this one.

ChatGPT prompt:
“Create a caricature of me and my job based on everything you know about me.”

Turns out it nailed the vibe: calm nervous system, cozy chair, deep listening, and a loving No B.S. Zone ☕️

If you’re tired of trying to think your way out of anxiety, burnout, or midlife overwhelm—this is your reminder that your body holds the map.

✨ Calm body. Quiet mind.

If you’re feeling more anxious, exhausted, angry, or numb these days —
that’s not a personal failing.

Your nervous system looks for safety in three places:
inside your body,
between people,
and in the world around you.

When the world feels increasingly unsafe —
with rising racism, xenophobia, violence, and dehumanization —
of course your system is impacted.

That’s not weakness.
That’s humanity.

And gently, lovingly:
If you feel completely fine while others are being harmed,
that’s not regulation.
That’s often disconnection — a byproduct of systems that reward dominance over empathy.

The work isn’t to numb out or “cope better.”
It’s to build enough internal and relational safety
so you can stay human without burning out.

This is what I help people do.
Calm body. Quiet mind.

And, apparently, she also simply does not care that much anymore

Choose your suffering.
Because avoiding it entirely?
Not an option. Sorry.

Would you rather:
✨ people-please, over-function, say yes when your body is screaming no…
…and end up resentful, exhausted, and quietly pi**ed at everyone?

OR

✨ disappoint someone by setting a boundary, resting, or changing your mind…
…and sit with the discomfort of not being the hero for a bit?

Both come with feelings.
One just drains your nervous system way more.

This is the part no one tells you:
Growth isn’t about choosing comfort.
It’s about choosing the discomfort that actually gives something back.

People-pleasing suffering = chronic.
Boundary-setting suffering = temporary.

One erodes you slowly.
The other builds capacity, trust, and self-respect.

So yeah — choose your suffering.
Your body already knows which one it can live with.

Calm body. Quiet mind.

I changed the name from Heartfelt to Inner Wisdom Therapies to be clearer about what this work is really about.

Not fixing you.
Not making you someone new.

Helping you reconnect with what’s already there.
Your body’s wisdom.
Your capacity to settle.
Your ability to lead yourself from the inside out.

calm body. quiet mind.

Dinner for one doesn’t mean
“whatever, I’ll just eat something sh*tty and call it a night.”

Sometimes dinner for one means:
✨ braised beef ravioli
✨ brown butter & crispy sage
✨ a glass of wine (or bubbly mineral water)
✨ a quiet table
✨ and the radical act of feeding yourself like you matter.

Your nervous system notices when you care for it.
Warm food, slow bites, real flavours — they tell your body,
“You’re worth slowing down for.”

Whether you’re cooking for a full house or just you tonight,
your body deserves nourishment that actually feels good
(not the “I guess this is fine” meal you stand and eat over the sink).

Here’s to honoring yourself in tiny, delicious ways.
Even — especially — when you’re the only one at the table.
