As a Registered Midwife, Health Visitor and Mini First Aid trainer, I’ve spent years working alongside babies, children and families — and I know just how frightening it can feel when something suddenly goes wrong.

That experience is a huge part of how I deliver my 2-hour Baby & Child First Aid classes. There’s no expectation that you already know what to do, no intimidating medical jargon and definitely no silly questions!

Instead, we practise the skills that could really matter in those first few minutes of an emergency:

💚 Baby & child CPR
💚 What to do if your baby or child is choking
💚 Bleeding and wound care
💚 Burns and scalds
💚 Head bumps
💚 Recovery positions & DRABC
💚 Recognising the warning signs of meningitis & sepsis
💚 Plus anaphylaxis awareness and what to do in an emergency

These classes are practical, relaxed and hands-on. You’ll get the opportunity to practise the techniques yourself and ask all those “But what if…?” questions that parents naturally have.

My aim isn’t to make you a first aider in two hours.

It’s to help you walk out feeling calmer, more confident and better prepared to protect the little person in your care. 💚
