Coping With Exam Stress

So many young people are in the middle of GCSEs, A Levels and end of year exams, and it’s completely normal to feel the pressure.

Stress isn’t a sign you’re not coping — it’s a sign you care.
• Take small breaks to reset your mind
• Breathe slowly when things feel overwhelming
• Move a little to release tension
• Talk to someone you trust
• Keep perspective — exams matter, but they don’t define your worth

You’re doing your best in a tough moment, and that’s enough. One breath, one page, one step at a time.

Sometimes people are fighting battles you cannot see.

Behind the smiles, the “I’m fine,” and the carrying on with daily life, someone may be struggling quietly. This week is a reminder that it’s okay to not be okay, and it’s okay to ask for help.

Please be gentle with yourself this week.
Rest when you need to.

Evening Wander at Gosford Forest Park

I ended up in Gosford Forest Park this evening, and I was reminded how soothing it is just to be held by nature for a while.
No agenda, no rushing... just letting the day soften around me.
It’s amazing how a simple walk can loosen thoughts you didn’t even realise were tied in knots.
If your day has felt a bit “too much”, a few quiet minutes outdoors might offer the same gentle pause. Sometimes nature does the grounding for us.

When Spring Starts to Show Up

I have to admit, spring is my favourite time of year. The bluebells and primroses are out again and I just love it.

There’s something about those first pops of colour that makes everything feel a bit lighter.

I notice it in myself too...a small lift, a bit more energy, a sense of “okay, we’re getting there.”

Change doesn’t have to be big or dramatic. Sometimes it’s just noticing what helps you breathe a little easier.

April is Global Stress Awareness Month.

We all carry an invisible stress bucket...and it fills faster than we realise.

Into it goes the everyday pressures of life-work, relationships, responsibilities, worries, expectations, and the unexpected challenges that catch us off guard.

When the bucket fills faster than it can empty, we feel overwhelmed, irritable, exhausted, or disconnected.

What’s filling it?
What helps it drain?
Small, supportive habits can stop overwhelm before it overflows. Let’s use this month to lighten the load and support our wellbeing.
