🚪From opening our first clinic in 1992 to becoming Common Youth in 2018, we’ve spent over 30 years supporting young people’s sexual health and wellbeing across Northern Ireland.

Since our rebrand, we’ve continued to grow and evolve, expanding our reach, developing new services, and supporting more young people than ever before.

Here’s a look back at some of the key milestones that have shaped who we are today.💜✨

Watch as our education team talks you through a coil insertion and what happens during the procedure.

Depending on the type, a hormonal coil can last between 3 and 8 years, while a copper coil can last between 5 and 10 years. Both are over 99% effective at preventing pregnancy.🤰🏼

🦠 Coils do not protect against STIs, so remember to use condoms too.

To get a coil or find out more, visit College Street Family Planning Clinic in Belfast or your local Family Planning Clinic in other Trust areas.

PrEP & PEP: what to know. 💊

PrEP can help protect people who do not have HIV before potential exposure.

PEP is emergency medication that can reduce the risk of HIV after a possible exposure, but it must be started within 72 hours.

If you think you may have been exposed to HIV, contact a sexual health clinis or visit A&E as soon as possible.

🌈 Pride is important because everyone deserves to feel accepted, supported, and free to be themselves.

This month is a celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community, but it’s also a reminder that creating safe, inclusive spaces for young people matters every day of the year.

At Common Youth, everyone is welcome. Our clinic is a safe space where young people can access support and be themselves without judgement.

Happy Pride Month from Common Youth. 🫶🏼
