Celebrating the Sacredness of Water in the every day

Do you ever stop to think what life with out water would be like? It’s a life essential element which we simply take for granted!

Our ancestors used to revere water as something sacred. This session will reignite your reverence for this precious resource.

Taking time to reflect and give gratitude for water will give you greater connection and appreciation of its wonderous qualities – and awe and wonder, uplifts your soul and your well being!

During the session you will have a chance to:

* Reflect on the ways in which water sustains us and all life on earth: How it nourishes us, cleanses us and provides a space for us to sit and reflect by!

* Awaken your sense of curiosity through exploring water's different magical forms of liquid, steam and ice!

*Look at how to create daily habits to help you honour and appreciate and conserve water.

* Be led on a guided visualisation to bring you closer to the Spirit and Nature of water and its life giving qualities.

Friday September 4th from 2.30 pm. to 4.00 p.m.

Session costs: £12 to include a drink and some light refreshments - All money from this session will be given to https://www.wateraid.org/uk to help give the gift of clean water to others.

Happy Lammas/ Lughnasadh ( pronounced Loo' nassa). 1st August is a time to celebrate the first harvest! It marks the turning point between the fullness of summer and the beginning of Autumn.

It's time to be grateful for all that Nature has given us. Time to appreciate the fruits of the land... including all the grains which give us bread 🍞 and cakes. What goodies can you harvest and show gratitude for?

Imagine a life without 🌊 water ...no drinks, no plants, no animals, no rivers, no lakes, no sea....no life!!

Thanks to everyone who came to my Reflections on the Wonder of Water session today! It was good to ponder the true value of water together and truly appreciate all that water offers: It quenches your thirst, cleanses you and your clothes, cools you down, provides succulence for plants and animals, as well as providing a calm space to sit beside.

Basically, water is a miraculous substance which we often just take for granted! But reflecting on it's wonders helped us realise it's true worth!

It was also fun to look at water in its other forms: steam and ice! Indeed we used our sense of playful curiosity to observe some floral ice sculptures! Doing something novel like this helps to keep us happy ! You could try making and observing one! ( Take care ....they don't last long in this heat though 🤣).

All the money from the session raised money for WaterAid UK ... and it's great to know others will benefit from us having fun and learning to appreciate the wonder of water once more. 🌎💙💦💧🤗✨✨✨

So many people spend their lives criticizing the very body that has carried them through every storm, heartbreak, recovery, and miracle.

You look in the mirror and focus on flaws.
But your body remembers survival.

Those arms held people you love.
Those eyes witnessed sunsets, tears, laughter, and beautiful moments.
Those legs carried you through exhausting days when you wanted to give up.
That heart kept beating even during nights you thought you wouldn’t make it through.

Your body has been fighting for you since the day you were born.

Buddhist wisdom teaches gratitude for the present moment and compassion toward ourselves.
Yet many people speak to themselves with a cruelty they would never use on another human being.

You were never meant to hate yourself into peace.

Healing begins when you stop viewing your body only through appearance and start seeing it through appreciation.

Your scars tell stories.
Your tiredness tells stories.
Your softness, your imperfections, your aging — all of it tells the story of a human being who has lived.

And that is something sacred.

You do not need a perfect body to deserve love, respect, or kindness.

Before criticizing yourself today, pause for a moment and thank your body for staying with you through everything.
