Very occasionally we get grumbling about pricing, we’ve just taken over a product from another company, this was what our new customer was paying. Our most expensive scooter service is £90, that’s for ones we didn’t sell or haven’t serviced before. Hoist and LOLER not LOLAR as they’ve put 😂 test we charge £30 each if more than 3 on site to be done at the same time. Local company at Hailsham charged our customer £85 to have a puncture repair as we were too busy to get to him in the time frame they wanted, our charge £40. My van cost £500 for a service at the main dealership a couple of weeks back and I bet we spend more time servicing a scooter than they did my van. Next time someone says we’re expensive I’ll show them this. We try to be reasonable and we are open 9 - 4 Monday to Friday, Bexhill 10 - 2 Saturday. Some local mobility shops are closed 3 days a week and open 4 1/2 hours a day they do open. We try our best and we are here for you.

Afternoon 😴, read this and it will help 😂 my bit, not the review.
So nice to have another great review. Someone was trying to damage our reputation on Next Door App, it totally backfired on them as everyone supported us 😂. They purchased 2 products from online only companies and I said we wont work on one of them and they didn’t like that. I would have done the other one but they said it had to be done that same day and that wasn’t an option, our loyal customers will get a much quicker response from us. They found someone else to do it, obviously they’re happy to pick up other people’s problems and work on junk, we are not. That said they sell junk we won’t touch so that says it all. I’ve worked incredibly hard to build this business and provide the best service possible, it’s nice to have so much support. Someone asked on an Eastbourne Facebook group about finding someone to fix a mobility scooter, we were the only Eastbourne based company recommended. The other 2 Mobility companies in Eastbourne didn’t get one mention. 1 person recommended Justin at Lumen Mobility and he’s great. I’ve sent some people to them if I can’t do it. We can work together if you have the same kind of standards we have and do the job properly.

A few of the products sold this week. Robooter gone to Brighton, it’s the E60 GT Pro but plain black without the orange trims. Rascal Pioneer gone to Rye, Kymco Komfy 4 to Old Town, Eastbourne. Please note the Rascal is our image, the others are stock ones as forgot to take them 😂.

We always try our best, the riser recliner was paid for at 12.00, delivered at 14.30. 92 year old gentleman in urgent need of it, not sure how we squeezed it in but we did. So much depends on how customers approach us, manners cost nothing. Had a guy shouting about how awful the scooter was we sold him, kept cutting out on him. I told him not to shout, a simple fix, someone had moved the bracket that keeps the battery in place so every time he went over a bump it cut out. Totally not our fault and he left rather embarrassed. If there’s a problem speak to us ☺️, occasionally things go wrong on products we sell and we will always resolve any issues.

It’s been another amazing week, it’s nice when you build such good relationships with the manufacturers and they value your business that much they want to protect our area and not supply others ☺️. When you get too many people selling the same product close to each other it can become a race to the bottom on price, not that we get involved in that kind of thing. Some customers will try and play us off against each other but we have our price and that’s it, we know our worth and how good our sales and aftercare is. We answer the phone and emails, some don’t leaving customers angry and frustrated, rightly so. We have enough staff (just) to manage and we don’t go away on holiday every few weeks leaving people stranded.
When we quote a price for a product or service it is valid at that time, not months later. We get people saying they were quoted a certain price so ‘why has it gone up’, our suppliers adjust prices on a regular basis, MK Battery change 4 times a year so we have no control over that.
When you call us please try to have the make and model of your product as it’s very difficult to quote without knowing what we are quoting for. If you really don’t have any information you can WhatsApp us a picture and we will figure it out from that.

In the last 24 hours we’ve had 2 people expecting us to recover them as they’ve broken down. We managed to get 1 of them, the other we couldn’t as too busy. I had someone saying I must do it as I have ‘a duty of care to the customer’. The customer had told this person they only got the scooter 3 weeks ago, it was actually 3 months. They’ve had ample time to take out insurance and or recovery. I have recovery set up for my vans, I wouldn’t expect the place that sold them to me months ago to drop everything and come and get me.
We offer insurance from Mark Bates, cheapest £96 a year and that includes recovery and public liability insurance. You can spread the cost over 12 months for an extra £10. That’s £8.83 a month, I appreciate times are hard for some but if you can please consider it as we are not able to do urgent recovery work. Thank you.

Today is National Dog Day, anyone that knows me will know I’m a huge fan of 🐶. Some pictures of dogs present and sadly passed. We lost our Cocker Spaniel Olly not long ago, he was my
partner Jo’s dog but still a big part of my life. People that have never had a pet like a dog think it’s ’just a dog’, the grief is extremely painful, they’re far more than ‘just a dog’, they’re family and more, a big hole when they are not there.

New Motion Healthcare Xplorer delivered today and going to the customer tomorrow. Ready for the colder wetter weather ☺️. It has a heater, windscreen wiper and reversing camera as standard. I’m always upfront with pricing £7990 and I always try to include it on posts. Yes cheaper online but you’d have fun unboxing it and setting it up.
