The Butterfly Hospice Trust Your local hospice for local people. The Butterfly hospice sits within 4 acres of grounds near to Pilgrim Hospital in Boston, Lincolnshire.

The Butterfly Hospice - We are an independent, local charity working to provide palliative and end of life care to people with a life-limiting illness. We offer palliative and end of life care to anyone over the age of 18 years free of cost to them and their family. Working in partnership with other healthcare providers, the hospice provides inpatient facilities, including symptom control, res

pite and end of life care. We rely on the generosity of our community for the majority of our funding. Our work can only continue with the support of local people, companies and organisations that give their time and money to fundraise on our behalf. Our thanks go to them and our staff and volunteers in the hospice and shops for their hard work and

Sometimes, it’s the little things that can make all the difference...

This week at the Hospice, we’ve had the privilege of creating some wonderful moments for one of our guests, Ken.

When plans for a trip to Devon sadly had to be cancelled, the team brought a little taste of Devon to him instead, with an afternoon tea 🍰☕

And, after hearing about his love of owls, a kind member of our local community, Mick, came for a very special visit. Bringing their Little Owl, Miranda, into the Hospice for Ken to meet, alongside some of our other guests and their families🦉

Every wearable bra placed into one of our Bra Recycling Banks is collected by Fundraise & Recycle.

From there they're carefully sorted before being distributed to people around the world who can't afford new bras.

Nothing goes to waste.

Inspired by the recent Lloyds Tour of Britain that set off from our town centre? 🚴

It was fantastic to see our town come alive as the professionals took to two wheels, but you don't have to be a professional cyclist to take on your own challenge this September!

Join us for Bike or Hike 2026 on Sunday 20th September, with distances to suit all ages, abilities and ambitions.

🚴 Bike 8, 28 or 68 miles
🥾 Hike 2, 4 or 10 miles

Take on a personal challenge, bring the family or get a group of friends together. However you choose to take part, every mile and every step will help support the care we provide to local people and their families.
