Brendan “Wogie” WOGAN
It is with deep sadness that the family have asked us to announce the passing of Wogie, who sadly passed away on 1st June 2026 at Marie Curie Hospice. Wogie was a loving husband to Karen, a much-loved dad to Sean, a loving grandad to Lyla, a dear brother to Terry and a good friend to many. Wogie was a man who touched the hearts of so many, he will be remembered for his love of music, playing cards, dominoes, snooker and his wonderful habit of bursting into a song at the pub with his friends.

Wogie’s funeral will take place at 10.30am on Wednesday 17th June at Shay Grange Crematorium.

Anyone who wishes to be part of the funeral procession should gather at 10am at 44 Avenel Road, Allerton, BD15 7HL.

Flowers from family members only please, but donations in memory of Wogie can be made to the Marie Curie Hospice and a collection box will be available as you leave the service. People attending Wogie’s funeral are welcome to wear whatever they feel comfortable in, no dress code, even a football shirt if you like. Let’s do this Wogie style.

Afterwards, everyone is welcome to join us at Fairweather Green Working Men’s Club, as we raise a glass and celebrate the vibrant, joyful life of our dear Wogie.

Wogie, you will always be remembered by everyone and deeply missed.

It is with great sadness that the family of Donna Marie Egan announce her passing at Scarborough Hospital on 17th May 2026, aged 43 years.
Beloved daughter of the late Peter and June, much loved and supportive mum to Jordan and Peter, devoted partner of Sammy, cherished sister to Micky, Juney and Lynne, and a loyal friend to many.
Donna had a heart bigger than most and was always the first to help anyone in need — usually with a cup of tea, a hot meal, or a laugh that left everyone crying. She loved cooking, enjoyed a good drink, and could make any room brighter simply by walking into it. Calm, caring, hilarious, and wonderfully one of a kind, Donna will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Her family take comfort in knowing she leaves behind countless funny stories, happy memories, and enough feeding portions to last a lifetime.
Funeral service to be held on Friday 19th June 2026 at 12:45pm at Shay Grange Crematorium, Long Lane, Bradford, BD9 6ST.
Family flowers only please.
Forever loved, forever remembered.

David Wilson of Thornton, Bradford, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on 3rd May 2026, aged 84 years.
Devoted husband and soulmate of Debbie for over 46 wonderful years, proud and ever-supporting dad to Dawn, Gary, Debbie, Damian, Donna and the late Tracy, treasured grandad to Craig, Stacy, Reece, Joshua, Samantha, Lauren, James, Ellie, Kirby-Lee, Ben and Darcie and a much loved great-grandad, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and a true friend to many.
A true Yorkshire gentleman through and through, David was a lifelong Bradford City supporter and proud season ticket holder who stuck with City through thick, thin and very thin. He was also proud President of Branwell House, where he shared countless laughs, stories and good times with friends old and new. A natural-born entertainer with a quick wit and a story for every occasion, he never failed to raise a smile, a laugh, or occasionally an eyebrow. Whether you knew him for five minutes or fifty years, chances are he left you happier than he found you. And in true David fashion, he lived life exactly as he wanted — proudly, loudly, generously and always “his way.”
Funeral service to be held at Shay Grange Crematorium on Thursday 28th May at 10:30am.
Family flowers only please. Donations in David’s memory may be made to Marie Curie, with a collection box available as you leave the Chapel.
Bradford City colours or attire may be worn, if desired, in honour of David’s beloved City — although he’d probably still have something to say about the referee.
Following the service, family and friends are warmly invited to continue sharing stories, laughter and a few drinks in true David style at where else but The Branwell House — because David never believed anyone should leave a gathering too early.
David will make his final journey through his beloved Thornton village at 10:00am, travelling from the bottom of James Street to Kipping Lane. Anyone wishing to pay their respects is welcome to stand along Thornton Road to say farewell. There will be plenty of time afterwards to make your way to the Crematorium.
As someone once said, “I did it my way” — and anyone who knew David would know there was never any other way he’d have done it.
