Are you worried about someone's mental health?

Sometimes the smallest actions can make the biggest difference when someone is struggling.

Here are some little things you can do to make your loved ones feel supported:

❤️ Check in with friends who haven't been themselves lately

❤️ Offer practical support, such as calling to say, 'I've made extra food for dinner, and I'm passing by your place - want me to drop any round?'

❤️ Send them a 'this made me think of you' text alongside something they love, to let them know you're thinking of them, and create opportunities for low-pressure connection

Heading back to school after the long summer break can be a big change for children and parents alike. We're here to help you through this transition with some tips that might make it a little bit easier:

➡️ Re-establish a routine - try getting up and going to bed at the same time you usually would on school days

➡️ Ease them in - ask your child if they would like to try on their uniform a few days before they go back. This is especially helpful if your child's uniform has changed, or if they've grown over the summer, as their uniform may now feel different.

➡️ Get familiar - if your child's teacher has provided any information about the first few days of school, go over what might happen with your child so they know what to expect.

➡️ Have a check in - open up opportunities for your child to tell you how they're feeling. Are they excited about the new term? Nervous? A bit of both?

➡️ Make a plan - if your child is anxious about this transition, chat together and see if there's anything that might ease it. Could they bring in an item that makes them feel safe? Could you plan a relaxed weekend after their first week back?

If your child has come out or is exploring their gender or sexuality, you might be wondering what to say to show them th...
