A landmark day for rehabilitation in the UK!

Yesterday, the National Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) in Nottingham welcomed its first patients, marking the opening of the country’s first dedicated NHS rehabilitation centre.

Among them was Neil Smith from Derbyshire, who celebrated his 37th birthday by becoming the NRC’s very first patient, making an already momentous day even more special.

At Ectron, we’re incredibly proud to have played an integral role in bringing world-leading robotic rehabilitation technology into the heart of the NHS.

As part of this landmark project, we supplied an entire ecosystem of leading rehabilitation technologies, including the LEXO, D-Wall, Amadeo and MYRO - bringing together advanced robotic and technology-led solutions designed to support patients across different stages and aspects of rehabilitation.

But this is about more than technology. It’s about creating an environment where innovation can help transform rehabilitation, recovery and lives.

We’re incredibly proud to have been part of this historic moment and to see these technologies now being used to support the NRC’s first patients.

What does the D-Wall actually do?

It analyses movement in real time, providing instant visual feedback and detailed data to support assessment, rehabilitation and progress tracking.
