πŸ’— Bra Bank Donation Point πŸ’—

We are pleased to let patients know that we are now an official Bra Bank collection point in support of breast cancer charities.

If you have any unwanted or no longer needed bras in good condition, you can donate them by handing them in at our reception front desk during normal opening hours.

Your donations help raise funds for breast cancer support and research while also promoting textile recycling.

Thank you for your support and generosity. πŸ’—

May 18-24 marks Dementia Action Week.

If you care for someone living with dementia, the worry that they may become lost, confused or disorientated while out and about can be constant.

Our Dementia Safeguarding Scheme is here to help.

The free service allows families and carers to share vital information with police ahead of time, meaning that if someone living with dementia is reported missing, officers can access the information straight away and take action quickly.

Eligible people registered with the scheme can also request free assistance devices, including Life360 Bluetooth Tracking Tiles to help locate someone if they go missing, and NFC wristbands or tags that can be scanned by someone helping them to access key contact information and get them to safety.

Our partnership with Avon Fire & Rescue Service ensures people registered with the scheme are also referred for a free home fire safety visit, helping to reduce risk both at home and in the community.

April is cancer awareness month πŸ’œ

At Courtside, we are committed to supporting our patients and community by raising awareness of cancer, promoting early detection, and encouraging healthy lifestyle choices.

Early diagnosis can make a significant difference in outcomes. We encourage everyone to be aware of any unusual changes in their health and to seek medical advice promptly if they have concerns.

Throughout this month, we also recognise the strength of those living with cancer, remember those we have lost, and acknowledge the ongoing work of healthcare professionals and researchers dedicated to improving care and treatment.

If you have any symptoms that concern you or are due for a screening, please contact the surgery to arrange an appointment.

Together, we can improve awareness, support one another, and help save lives.

April is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month in the UK. If you've been diagnosed with bowel cancer, or just want to be aware of symptoms, Macmillan can help.
