Living with or wondering if you might have endometriosis can feel isolating — but you don’t have to go through it alone. 💛

On the 24th of September, a free, relaxed peer support group in Bude for anyone living with or suspected to have endometriosis will be meeting at Berries. It’s a safe, welcoming space to connect with others who understand. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as you like, listen to others, or simply enjoy being around people who “get it”.

📍 Berries Community Café, Bude
🕖 7–9pm, Thursday 24th September (bi-monthly)

The venue is private for the group, so you can feel comfortable and safe while attending.

If you’d like more information or a friendly informal chat before coming along, please email:
📧 [email protected]

This group is run by a trained Endometriosis UK volunteer and offers peer support (not medical advice).

Please feel free to share this post so it can reach anyone locally who might benefit. 💛

Today marks World Su***de Prevention Day. It takes place globally each year to raise awareness of su***de, reduce stigma, and encourage action on su***de prevention.

The theme spanning 2024, 2025, and 2026 is ‘changing the narrative on su***de’. It’s about moving from a culture of silence towards one of understanding and support.

Su***de. Let's talk.

Learn to recognise the warning signs.

Patients can check their blood pressure in several places:

🩺 Where can I check my blood pressure?
At your GP surgery – ask if your practice has a blood pressure machine available for patients to use.
At a pharmacy – many community pharmacies offer blood pressure checks, often without an appointment.
At home – you can use a validated home blood pressure monitor. Ask your GP or pharmacist for advice on choosing and using one.
At NHS Health Checks – if you are aged 40–74 and eligible, your NHS Health Check includes a blood pressure measurement.
Libraries throughout Cornwall allow to borrow a blood pressure machine, just like you would a book! Find out more ⬇️

Top tip: If you use a machine in a public place, sit quietly for a few minutes first and follow the instructions carefully.

Know your numbers – checking your blood pressure regularly can help identify high blood pressure early.
