A Busy Couple of Weeks at Chevington Lodge

We’ve had a wonderful and busy couple of weeks here at Chevington Lodge!

We celebrated three special birthdays with plenty of delicious cake and happy memories shared with friends.

Residents have enjoyed a variety of fun activities, including balloon tennis, bubble popping, and darts, bringing lots of laughter and friendly competition.

We’ve also been keeping our minds active with our favourite word games and staying physically active with sessions on the cycle machine.

Our taste buds were treated too, as we enjoyed a yummy cheese platter filled with a selection of tasty treats.

For some quieter moments, residents have enjoyed Sunday hymns, reading letters from friends and loved ones, and a little pampering with nail painting.

It’s been lovely to see everyone enjoying such a wide range of activities and spending quality time together. 💙

It’s been a busy and fun-filled couple of weeks at Chevington Lodge!

We’ve enjoyed plenty of activities including hoopla, sticky darts, and a competitive game of bingo. Residents also treated themselves to a relaxing pamper session with their nails beautifully done.

There were lots of delicious treats to enjoy too, including yummy vanilla cupcakes and citrus cakes. 🍰

To keep active, we made the most of walks around our lovely garden and spent time using the cycle machines for exercise. 🚲🌿

We also had a wonderful time listening to and singing along with Ormiston Victory High School on Zoom. 🎶
We even managed get out to our favourite music lifelines coffee morning and have a play with some instruments.

To top it all off, we were thrilled to win the care home quiz! 🥳

We’ve had a thoughtful and enjoyable week here at Chevington Lodge. Residents have been keeping their minds active with a fun word game, getting creative while making beautiful flowers, and spending time nurturing our runner beans and sunflowers as they continue to grow. 🌻

We ended the week with a wonderful celebration for VE Day, taking time to remember and honour this special occasion together.

To top it all off, we even managed to sneak into the garden at the weekend for a refreshing ice lolly in the sunshine. ☀️🍦

Another busy and joyful week at Chevington Lodge! ☀️

We’ve been keeping active with balloon tennis and lovely walks in the garden. To keep our minds sharp, we enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, word games, and a few rounds of the dice game.

A little friendly competition came in with sticky ball darts on our new board—great fun for everyone involved! 🎯

Our green-fingered residents have been hard at work again, this time planting runner beans—we can’t wait to see them grow. 🌱

We’ve also been making the most of the sunshine, spending quality time with friends and enjoying the beautiful weather.

And of course, we’ve celebrated birthdays in style—because every special day deserves to be memorable! 🎉

We’ve had a wonderful week at Chevington Lodge!

Our residents have been making the most of the beautiful weather, spending time in the garden and checking on the lovely flowers in bloom. Gentle walks around the garden and time on the cycle machines have kept everyone active, while a fun word game helped keep our minds sharp.

We were also delighted to attend our Music Lifelines coffee morning at the community centre – always a highlight and a great opportunity to connect with others.

To top it all off, one of our residents enjoyed a very special visit from their beloved dog, Teddy, which brought lots of smiles all around.

A week full of fresh air, friendship, and joyful moments 💐

Another fabulous week here at Chevington Lodge! 🌸
We’ve been making the most of the lovely weather with relaxing walks in the garden, taking time to admire all the beautiful flowers in bloom. There was plenty of laughter during a very competitive game of hoopla, and our creative side truly shone through with arts, crafts, and colouring activities. 🎨
Some of our residents also enjoyed spending time caring for our reborn dolls, bringing comfort and smiles all around. To top it all off, we celebrated a very special birthday with some delicious cake — the perfect way to end a wonderful week! 🎂

What a lovely week we’ve had at Chevington Lodge! ☀️
We made the most of the beautiful weather, spending plenty of time out in the garden and enjoying some peaceful walks together. It’s been wonderful to soak up the sunshine and fresh air.
There was no shortage of fun indoors too — we put our brains to the test with word games and had a fabulous (and competitive!) game of bingo.
One of the highlights of the week had to be our energetic game of balloon tennis with our younger generation — lots of laughter and smiles all around!

What a fantastic way to celebrate Good Friday and kick off the Easter weekend! 🐣✨
We had an absolutely fabulous party filled with great company, plenty of laughs, and brilliant entertainment from Rob James, who kept everyone entertained with amazing music and singing all night long 🎶
Of course, no party is complete without some delicious treats—yummy cupcakes, cheese straws, and a couple of glasses of wine made it even more enjoyable! 🧁🍷
The atmosphere was incredible—such a fun and memorable evening with everyone joining in and enjoying the moment. A perfect start to Easter celebrations! 💛

We’ve had a wonderfully busy couple of weeks at Chevington Lodge! ☘️
From celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with lively Irish dancing to enjoying sunny strolls in the garden, there’s been something for everyone. Residents got creative designing cakes during our colouring session, shared special moments at Holy Communion with Reverend Reg, and had lots of fun with dice and word games.
We also loved the visit from some adorable dogs and ended on a high note with a fantastic choir session led by Sarah, with Diane accompanying on the keyboard 🎶
So many smiles, laughs, and lovely memories made together!
We also had a lovely game of darts on our new dart board which we purchased with the Amazon Voucher from Friend in Deed for winning the monthly quiz. 😍
