My name's Kate and I've been running Tots Play Cardiff North since September 2014. My Award Winning classes are so much fun, while giving your little ones a developmental boost! We have a great mix of activities in each session - Baby & Toddler Yoga, Sign Language, Music & Movement, Instruments, Baby Massage, Story Massage, Bubbles, Sensory Play and loads more! All designed to intrigue, stimulate

and encourage your little one to develop their senses through play!

🧡I have 5 different classes, suitable from Birth to 2.5 years old.:
💙Baby Development (Birth to 6 months old)
💙Discovery Tots (8-12 weeks to active crawling)
💙Younger Social Tots (crawling to 15 months)
💙Social Tots (crawling to 2.5 years)
💙Daddy & Me classes - once a month on a Saturday morning

All of my sessions are very friendly and welcoming! We help to support Parents and Carers to build friendships at classes.

🧡Open invite after each class to go into Jump Soft Play (directly next door) for FREE together after each class, or for a coffee & cake over the road at Moo Moo's Coffee Shop inside Llanishen Leisure Centre

👀 These are the beautiful Nursery rooms inside our classes home at Caerleon Child Care Cardiff - Llanishen!

It’s a wonderfully welcoming Nursery, caring for tiny babies up to school age!
The staff are all absolutely wonderful & the children are really well looked after! They are led by the really excellent Manager Meg & her excellent senior team of staff ❤️ including lovely Jules who lots of you see at classes 😍

I am lucky to spend time with all of them around running my classes and I’m pleased to say how lovely they all are! (I am fully DBS checked, a standard part of my business, & Caerleon took character references for me before I moved in plus I’ve worked with them before, just in case anyone questions that! They are very thorough, just like me)

They have made me SO welcome this year, I want to help spread the word about them. (I am not on commission, I just like to help!)

🧡The older children have special supervised SWIMMING LESSONS over the road at Llanishen Leisure Centre, there’s PRIVATE PLAY TIME for the Nursery kids inside JUMP every morning, they offer TERM TIME ONLY places if you or your partner only work term time, they have regular OUTDOOR PLAY in the garden area and in school holidays our lovely classroom The Cwtch is transformed into SCHOOL HOLIDAY CLUB, where they have such a fab timetable of activities for school aged children!

🧡Their website is in the process of being updated after feedback from my lovely families and they collect their reviews on the Day Nurseries website, where every review on there is written by an actual family who have recently attended the Nursery so you can guarantee you are reading genuine feedback.

They offer no obligation tours, because you def need to have a look round to get a feel of a Nursery don’t you 😍& their phone number to arrange a tour or for any questions is 02920 763679!

I’m really happy to be able to highly recommend Caerleon Child Care - also as a Mum myself as my own children went here when they were little 😍

🧺 Tots Play Teddy Bears Picnic Summer Parties at The Pantmawr Inn yesterday ❤️

Absolutely loved our three Party sessions!! Thank you all so much for coming!!
🧸 Music & movement indoors in the conservatory to start us off then out to play in the garden with my giant jelly trays, spaghetti pits, water play, teddy parachute play, bubbles & more ❤️

The sessions did get quite messy 😂!! Was so lovely to see the beautiful Tots having fun! I really hope you all enjoyed it too?

A big thank you to the lovely Jen at the Pantmawr for having us!! Thank you for being a wonderful, supportive lady 😍

🧸 I might just be (nearly!) Teddy Bear Picnic Parties READY for tomorrow!! 🎉

✅ Jelly set in the fridge for our giant jelly trays
✅ Spaghetti cooked & dyed for our spaghetti pits
✅ Equipment picked, packed and ready to be loaded, unloaded & set up tomorrow before everyone arrives

🧸 I can’t wait to welcome everyone coming tomorrow to my annual Summer Parties, for the first time this year at the beautiful 🥰
A big thank you to the wonderful Landlady Jen for having us and for being so welcoming ❤️

🧸 We’ll be enjoying our favourite & themed music & movement, the teddies will be bouncing on my parachutes & then our Sensory Play (hopefully outdoors in the beautiful garden, I know not to jinx the weather 🤞🤞!!) will have a mixture of messy, clean & water play stations for the Tots to explore & enjoy! All rounded off with bubbles!

☕️ They’ll be an open invite to stay together after each session for a coffee or some food 😋 inside the beautiful pub or out in the beer garden! I’ll pop photos of the menus in the comments below! All welcome to stay! Jen & her team would love to have you!

End of term thank you cards for my Baby & Toddler classes - you guys got me so emotional last week 🥹

What a pleasure it is to work with you & your Tots, to get to know you and to watch your children grow each week! To see you enjoy time together, seeing your Tots enjoying all my activities and the things I make for them each week and gently encouraging your friendships & watching them grow...it’s really special 😍

I’m so grateful for your very kind words! They mean so much to me, thank you so much!!

🦶🧡 Baby Development Course Graduation!

😍 How cute are my latest Baby Development Course Graduates this last couple of weeks!!

🧡 We finished our lovely June to July Courses with our jumping frogs mimicking game & a little chat about why Sensory Play is so awesome before having a really lovely play with lots of my Sensory resources!

🦶We created the Babies Graduation certificates, made official with the babies adorable footprints!! I love making these with you!

🥰 I have loved getting to know you all and its been lovely to watch lots of you go for the open coffee invite after class so you can all get to know each other better ❤️

I can’t wait to see lots of you for the next class up, Discovery Tots, in September 😍 Thank you so much for staying on with me!!

Me ‘not working’ in the job I love 😂😂

👀 All the little bits you don’t always see that add up to what I offer each week at my Baby & Toddler classes & Courses 😍😍

Equipment cleaning, resources making & repairing, replying to alllll the emails & messages, social media & advertising, setting up, packing away & cleaning our beautiful room, loading & unloading the car & then my storage area, taking our class donations back home and then loading them up & delivering them to Cwtch Baby Bank….and then remembering everyone’s names and delivering the actual classes! Phew!! There’s more that goes in than lots of people realise!

I do absolutely love my job…but I do absolutely work really hard!!

Last week of Summer term be like… ❤️

🍃 This week we developed the Tots Sense of Smell with my yummy homemade Peppermint & Rosemary Sensory Rice & my Orange, Lemon & Lime icebergs! It smelt lush in our classroom this week!!

We also enjoyed our usual mix of strengthening yoga & mood busting movement, my rhythm sticks came out for my Social & Younger Social Tots while we developed their rhythm, we popped lots of bubbles and Signed about things Totsy Monkey likes to do at Social & Younger Social Tots & handy nappy changing Signs at Discovery Tots 😍

Thank you all so much for coming this term!! It’s been a real pleasure to have you & your beautiful children! They have all progressed so well through the activities each week, I’m so proud of them all! 😍
And I’ve loved watching you guys chat, have fun & go for a drink together after class each week!

A big thank you for all the lovely cards & presents, very much appreciated and your kind words mean so much to me! 😘

You don’t need to apologise about what time you message me! No, honestly! Hear me out…

Since giving in & finally (after TWELVE YEARS of running Baby & Toddler classes!!) getting a separate work phone this term it’s been a bit of a game changer for me!

I might be obsessed with my classes and being self employed means I work most days (like here, last night filling these Baby Development Massage Oils ready for my September Courses ❤️!!) BUT my kids are growing up so quickly, I started this business to spend more time with them and what example am I setting to them if I’m constantly on my phone, constantly working, not giving them my full attention & not taking downtime for myself?

Plus my physical burnout at the end of each half term is something I need to personally manage better 🥰 Running each class is so physically demanding and uses so much energy, I need to manage this better and take more down time.

I’ve been practising really hard 😬 and my work phone goes off before I do the school run and doesn’t go back on until I get to work the next day plus it’s off all weekend 🙌

You can message me anytime you like & I’ll get back to you as soon as I can - when I’m working & around classes, prep, cleaning…!! Just please bear with me, I’m not Amazon 😉 but a working Mum too ❤️

How do you guys switch off from work and what do you do to relax each day?

👀 Look at all these Dads!!

Daddy & Me classes on Saturday were just brilliant again this month!!

Giving Dads time & space to slow down, connect & have fun with their Tot with no distractions and with activities they can easily recreate at home in the week whilst chatting with other Dads….why isn’t there more of this??

Im taking a break in August but my September to December Daddy & Me monthly Saturday classes are up on my schedule & open for bookings! All welcome, link on my bio!!

🎈I’ll be celebrating 2 whole years of my Daddy & Me classes this October! Two years this summer since that one fantastic Dad gave me the idea that started this ❤️

Thanks for coming on Saturday Dads, you are all brilliant and it’s a pleasure to welcome so many of you back month after month as well as welcome Dads along for the first time!
