🚂 All aboard... the Ty Coch Men's Club Express! 🚂
A huge welcome to the Men's Club at Ty Coch! We're kicking things off with a fantastic project that has already brought back so many happy childhood memories.

We're building our very own train track! 🚆 From planning the layout to laying the tracks, we're looking forward to seeing it all come together—and having plenty of laughs along the way.

A massive thank you to everyone who has kindly donated to support our little project. Your generosity means so much and is helping us bring this idea to life.

What a beautiful day to sit back, relax, and enjoy some flower arranging! 🌼☀️
The flowers were as bright and yellow as the glorious sunshine outside, and they smelt absolutely beautiful too. Our wonderful residents shared their fantastic knowledge during a lesson on the names of the different flowers, making the activity even more special.

The home now looks amazing with all of the beautiful floral displays, bringing colour and happiness to every room.

Just look at those lovely new potatoes and fresh carrots. I can't wait to see what delicious dishes Carol creates with them. I'm sure they'll taste even better knowing how much care and effort has gone into growing them.

🍓🧁 Cooking Club Fun! 🧁🍓

Last week, our residents enjoyed another wonderful session at Cooking Club, where they rolled up their sleeves and baked some absolutely delicious homemade scones!

There was lots of laughter, teamwork, and reminiscing as everyone shared their baking tips and memories while preparing the treats. The aroma of freshly baked scones filled the home, and the finished results looked as good as they tasted.

Served with jam, cream, and a cup of tea, the scones were enjoyed by all and made for a lovely afternoon together.

A big well done to Emad and the residents that took part —we're already looking forward to our next Cooking Club session! ❤️

🌸 Our Garden is Blooming! 🌸

There's nothing quite like spending time outdoors, and our beautiful garden is looking better than ever. Filled with colourful flowers, peaceful seating areas, and plenty of fresh air, it's a wonderful space for our residents to relax, socialise, and enjoy nature.

Yesterday was filled with wonderful moments, laughter, and creativity as our residents enjoyed both our Cooking Club and Gardening Club activities. 🌸🍰

In our cooking session, residents created a true Turkish delight — delicious homemade baklava! The aroma of warm pastry, honey, and nuts filled the home, bringing back lovely memories and sparking conversations about favourite family recipes and traditions. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed taking part, from carefully layering the pastry to, of course, tasting the finished treat! 🇹🇷✨

Out in the sunshine, our Gardening Club got busy planting beautiful bedding plants and tending to our gardens. Residents took great pride in helping brighten our outdoor spaces, enjoying the fresh air, teamwork, and therapeutic benefits that gardening brings. 🌼🌿

What a fantastic day we had yesterday getting everyone moving here at Ty Coch! Our residents took part in a variety of seated exercises, focusing on gentle stretches, coordination, and strength—proving that movement can be both fun and beneficial at any age.

From arm stretches and guided movements to a lively sensory session with music and lights, there were plenty of smiles, laughter, and great engagement all round. It was wonderful to see everyone joining in at their own pace and supporting one another.

Keeping active is so important for both physical health and emotional wellbeing, and days like this really highlight the joy it can bring 💛

This morning, our chef Emad led a delightful cookery class, sharing the secret to the perfect sponge! Then, this afternoon, we were treated to lots of singing, laughter, and old tunes with a fabulous singer. It’s been a day full of joy and great memories!
