💙 A Little Kindness Goes a Long Way 💙

Everyone who works at Brampton Medical Practice chose a career in the NHS because they genuinely want to help people. From our reception, dispensary and administration teams to our nurses, frailty team, healthcare assistants and GPs, we come to work each day with the same goal: to support our patients and provide the best care we can. Like many NHS services…general practice is busier than ever.
Our teams work hard behind the scenes managing appointments, prescriptions, test results, referrals and thousands of patient queries every week. We understand that being unwell, worried about a loved one or facing a long wait can sometimes be frustrating. During these moments, we kindly ask everyone to remember that the person on the other side of the desk or phone is doing their very best to help.
A smile, a thank you, a little patience or a kind word can make a huge difference to someone's day.
We are incredibly proud to serve the Brampton community and grateful for the kindness, understanding and support that so many of our patients show us every day.
Together we can continue to make our practice a welcoming, respectful and supportive place for everyone.

Today on World Su***de Prevention Day, we want to remind our community that mental health matters and that no one should feel they have to face difficult times alone.

To anyone affected by su***de, whether you're grieving the loss of someone you love, experiencing suicidal thoughts yourself, or supporting someone who is struggling right now, we're thinking of you today. 💚

As Samaritans remind us, sometimes a simple conversation can make a difference. If you're worried about someone, reaching out and showing you care could help interrupt suicidal thoughts and offer hope.

You may feel alone, but please remember: it's OK not to be OK, and it's OK to ask for help.

🪂💙 THEY DID IT! 💙🪂

A huge WELL DONE to our amazing colleagues, Nicki and Gillie, who successfully completed their charity skydive this weekend in support of the Great North Air Ambulance Service!

Unfortunately, poor weather meant the original jump date had to be postponed, but that didn't stop them. They took on the challenge this weekend and absolutely smashed it! 👏🎉

Everyone at Brampton Medical Practice is incredibly proud of you both. Taking such a big leap out of your comfort zone to raise money for such a fantastic cause is truly inspiring.

Thank you to everyone who supported the fundraising efforts, attended the bake sale, donated and cheered Nicki and Gillie on throughout their journey. Every contribution helps the Great North Air Ambulance continue its lifesaving work across our region.

Blue inhalers help to open your airways so you can breathe more easily, but Asthma is also caused by swelling inside your lungs.

Combination inhalers can:

✔ Reduce swelling in your lungs

This means:
• Less risk of Asthma attacks
• Better daily control
• Healthier lungs

What should you do?🤔

If you use a blue inhaler, it’s important to have an Asthma review.

An Asthma review will:
• Check your symptoms
• Make sure you’re using your inhaler correctly
• See if a combination inhaler is right for you
