Frank worked so hard in his session this week. He has started with some more advanced exercises.

Pole work on a circle has many benefits;

✅️Improves proprioception — helps the dog become more aware of where their feet and limbs are in space

✅️Encourages controlled movement — dogs must slow down and place their feet carefully instead of rushing

✅️Builds core and stabilising muscles — especially useful after injury or surgery

✅️Increases joint flexibility and range of motion — gentle stepping motions can help hips, shoulders, elbows, and stifles

✅️Helps weight shifting and balance — walking curved paths changes how the dog distributes weight through the body

Releasing the scapula (shoulder) in horses refers to relieving tension in the muscles and fascia that connect the forelimb to the body, allowing the shoulder to move freely. This process enhances the horse’s range of motion, improves shock absorption, and contributes to overall athletic performance❤️
