Protected Learning Time (PLT) - Tuesday 8th September 2026

On Tuesday 8th September 2026 the Practice will close for training in the afternoon from 1pm-6pm. The Practice will operate as normal from 8am-1pm.

We will re-open at 8am on Wednesday 9th September 2026.

A New Peer Support Group for Cowdenbeath

Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland is delighted to partner with The Cowdenbeath Peer Group for people living with chest, heart, stroke conditions and Long Covid.

The group provides a friendly, relaxed environment where people can meet others with shared experiences, reduce isolation, gain support, and enjoy a variety of social activities.

Hay fever can affect up to 1 in 5 people in their lifetime. This common allergic condition can have a big impact on day-to-day activities.
Some simple changes to try and improve hay fever symptoms include:
☑️Wear wraparound sunglasses to stop pollen getting in the eyes when outdoors.
☑️Take a shower and change clothes after being outdoors to remove the pollen from the body.
☑️Try to stay indoors when the pollen count is high (for more info on the pollen count visit the Met Office website).
☑️Apply a small amount of Vaseline (petroleum gel) to the nostrils to trap pollen.
☑️Get advice and treatment from a pharmacist if symptoms don’t improve .
