Bowel cancer is one of the most common cancers in Scotland with over 4,000 people being diagnosed each year. Bowel screening can help detect bowel cancer early and involves taking a simple test at home every 2 years.
Eligible patients will be sent a free test kit to their home address by the Scottish Bowel Screening Centre.
You are eligible to complete the bowel screening if you:
✅Are between the age of 50-74 years
✅Live in Scotland
✅Have not been invited for screening in the last 2 years
If you receive a screening kit:
✅Complete it promptly
✅Return it using the prepaid packaging
Taking part in screening could save your life.
