Reiki can help to balance and harmonise all aspects of the mind, body and spirit by shifting the nervous system from a stressed “fight or flight” mode to a “rest, digest and restore” mode. It taught me to look inwards to find my true self. It gave me a calmness and a grounding that I had been searching for most of my life. I trained with two very lovely Reiki Masters who had very different approaches to their teaching and I feel I benefited greatly from their diversity.

Well after many months of nurturing, watering, feeding and just generally looking after my tumbling tomato plants I finally have some red ones! A bonus is they are bloody delicious 😋 It's the little things you know that bring a smile. It's far too easy to get bogged down with the relentless misery the media and politicians bestow upon us each and every day! Nature has a way of showing us there are better things occuring out there and for that I am grateful 🙏

And just like that July is almost over! I've had a varied and busy month. My Reiki practice is still on pause whilst I decide what to do now I don't have my wee premises anymore. I think I need a plan to get a plan is where I'm at right now. In the meantime I did take on a glass cabinet down at Crieff Garden and Visitors Centre. I have put some of my stock there, mostly the crystals and jewellery. Interestingly, I have sold more from that glass cabinet than I did from the wee shop in the town. Sadly footfall in the town is not good! Many a day I looked out the window to an absolutely deserted High Street 😕 Sadly, I know that is the situation in many towns across Scotland and indeed the rest of the UK too!
Anyhoo, I have been a busy bee, I was back behind the desk at P&A Eyecare after 18 months away covering for staff holidays. I have also been on the Bear Trail and have bagged quite a few so far with more to come later this week. It's been a lot of fun finding them and the good weather was a bonus. All in all July has been a productive month and for that I am grateful 🙏

What a lovely Friday afternoon, hazy sunshine, slight breeze, low humidity and a very pleasant 22c. Perfect conditions you might say. Monty has been for a walk in the shade of the trees and a swim in the river and is now dreaming of his adventures. I have just watered my teeny tiny garden and am very excited to spot that one of my tumbling tomato plants has a couple of tomatoes. I had almost given up hope of finding any. The other plant still has none, however I live in hope! It just goes to show that a little bit of sunshine perks everything up. It also lifts the spirits and instils so much positive energy into everything. Have a great weekend 🙏

Good morning from Reiki Life HQ. My path has taken yet another turn. The unit I have been working from has been sold. I was given the opportunity to buy it and also to carry on renting it. I have decided to do neither. This last year has been a rocky road to say the least. I started in one shop, moved to another, moved out when the ceiling fell in, moved back in again and then a week later was told the unit was going up for sale.

I'm a great believer in things happen for a reason and I think the universe has other plans for me. What those plans are has not unfolded yet but I have faith all will be revealed. In the meantime I shall continue my daily self Reiki practice. I shall continue to deepen my learning and work towards becoming a Reiki Master later this year.

I will keep this page going and post my musings from time to time and I will also keep my Etsy shop going for any spiritual items you may want. Etsy.com/shop/ReikiLifeGifts

This is my Reiki Box. Also known as a Manifestation Box or a Wish Box or an Intention Box. You don't need to be a Reiki Practitioner to use one, anyone can have one. It is your intention and belief that matters. The box should be made of natural materials like wood or wicker or metal or even cardboard. It can be plain like mine or you could decorate it with your own style to personalise it more. To begin cleanse your box by using sage or any incense before you use it. Inside is for placing your intentions, hopes, dreams anything you wish to manifest. Simply write your intention on a piece of paper and place it inside. You can add other items like crystals or coins or herbs, anything that you intuitively feel will help. Then place your box in your special/sacred space and wait for the magic to happen 🙏

No one can deny that life is pretty difficult at the moment. So much uncertainty. So much instability. The government, the press and social media have a lot to answer for!

Back in 2022 a girl called Jane Marczewski , an American singer/songwriter (aka Nightbirde who received a golden buzzer from Simon Cowell on AGT) died from a battle with breast cancer.
Despite all the chemo, the darkest of days and her personal struggles she had one quote that will be her legacy. The quote is "You can't wait until life isn't hard anymore before you decide to be happy" Wise words in the face of adversity!

She wasn't wrong. We all hope that things will be better tomorrow, better next week, better next year! However none of us are guaranteed a tomorrow or a next week or a next year!
So just for today................. try to be Happy 🙏
