Tree pose: bringing strangers together through shared instability. 😂

31/05/2026

Yoga is not solely what we practice, but how we practice.

In the Yoga Sutras, the physical practice is presented as sthira sukham āsanam: posture that is steady and easeful. This teaching invites us to look beyond the shape itself and pay attention to the quality of our experience within it.

The physical yoga practice becomes a doorway: a place to study breath, sensation, effort, resistance, and the subtle ways the mind and energy respond.

Can we stay connected to the breath? Can we meet effort without forcing? Can we soften where we are gripping and steady ourselves where we feel scattered?

Over time, “advanced” may begin to look less like reaching the fullest expression of a pose and more like practicing with honesty, steadiness, care, and discernment.

That kind of practice may not always look impressive from the outside, but it can transform the way we move, breathe, and live.

Tag someone who’s redefining what “advanced yoga” looks like on social media.

Curious what this shift can look like over years of practice?

Sarah Ezrin shares a beautiful reflection on the journey from chasing poses to practicing with deeper awareness in “The More I Practice Yoga, the Fewer Poses I Can Do.”

🕉️ AUM Chanting Meditation 🕉️

AUM chanting, also known as Om chanting, is a simple yet powerful yogic practice that helps calm the mind and create inner balance. In ancient yoga traditions, AUM is considered the universal sound of creation and a symbol of peace, awareness, and spiritual connection. The vibration produced while chanting can create a deep sense of relaxation throughout the body and mind.

The sound AUM is made of three parts — “A,” “U,” and “M.” These sounds represent different stages of existence: creation, preservation, and transformation. When chanted slowly and mindfully, the vibration travels through the chest, throat, and head, helping the practitioner feel grounded and peaceful.

To practice AUM chanting, sit comfortably in a quiet place with your spine straight and shoulders relaxed. Close the eyes and take a few deep breaths. Inhale gently through the nose and chant “A-U-M” slowly during the exhalation. Allow the sound to flow naturally and focus on the vibration created within the body. After each chant, remain silent for a few moments and observe the stillness and calmness inside.

Regular AUM chanting may help reduce stress, anxiety, and mental fatigue. It can improve concentration, breathing awareness, and emotional balance. Many people also practice it before meditation or yoga sessions because it prepares the mind for deeper focus and relaxation.

Spiritually, AUM chanting is believed to awaken inner awareness and connect the practitioner with the present moment. The peaceful vibrations encourage mindfulness and help release negative thoughts and tension.

Even practicing for a few minutes daily can create a feeling of calmness, positivity, and mental clarity. With consistency, AUM chanting becomes a beautiful practice for relaxation, self-awareness, and inner peace. ✨

🥣🧘 Doing Happy Baby Pose helps release tight hips and lower back tension by gently opening the hips while allowing the spine to relax into the floor.

This position places the hips in a deep but supported stretch, which may help reduce stiffness built up from long periods of sitting, standing, or intense lower-body workouts.

As the knees move toward the chest and the hips open outward, the muscles around the pelvis, inner thighs, and lower back begin to relax, helping the body feel less compressed and more mobile.

The pose also encourages the lower spine to settle naturally against the floor, which can create a mild decompression effect and ease feelings of tightness in the back and hips.

For proper form, lie flat on your back, bend your knees toward your chest, and grab the outsides of your feet or ankles while keeping your knees wider than your torso. Gently pull the legs downward while keeping your shoulders and head relaxed on the floor, breathing slowly for 20–40 seconds.

Happiness is not something the world hands to you. It is something you choose within yourself.

People, money, success, and circumstances may bring temporary joy, but lasting peace begins when you stop waiting for life to be perfect.

The happiest people are not those who have everything. They are the ones who learn to appreciate, accept, and protect their inner peace.

True happiness starts from within.
