Two of our wonderful residents had the absolute honour of attending the local Veterans Breakfast at the White Horse pub in Darlington.They had an incredible time and haven't stopped talking about it since they walked back through the door! 🗣️💬 From the lovely people they met to the fascinating stories they shared, it was an unforgettable morning. They already cannot wait to go back for the next one!A massive thank you to everyone at the veterans breakfast and the team at the White Horse for making them feel so welcome. 🎖️❤️

We had the absolute honour of hosting the Royal British Legion - Darlington Branch at The Lawns Care Home last Tuesday! 🇬🇧❤️Our residents thoroughly enjoyed chatting, sharing stories, and spending time with everyone. We are so grateful for the visit! ☕️💬Looking ahead, we hope to host many more joint events in the future. We are also looking forward to getting our residents out and about to attend veteran and community events outside the home soon! 🚌🌟 Legion

Residents and staff at The Lawns Care Home had an amazing time dressing as superheroes and raising money for the Alzheimer's Society at their Superhero Summer Party! 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️☀️Highlights🦸 Dressed to impress: Everyone wore fun superhero costumes.💰 Great cause: We raised fantastic funds to support dementia care and research.😁 Smiles all around: Residents, families, and staff shared a wonderful day together. A Message From Our Manager "Well done to the team for all their efforts, and thank you to everyone who came. The children had the residents feeling young again!" 🧒👵Thank you to everyone who joined, donated, and helped make our summer event so special! 🙏❤️

🌊 Making dreams come true! 🍦Our lovely resident Jenny hadn't visited the coast in several years. She was wishing for a trip to the seaside.Our amazing activities coordinator jumped into action to make it happen! They took Jenny for a wonderful day out to Redcar.Jenny had an absolute blast. She said it was "the best day!"We love helping our residents revisit favourite places and create beautiful new memories.
