Good morning everyone ๐Ÿ’—

Today is a special day for me.

This evening, my son Tyler and I will be taking part in the Race for Life 5K at Witton Park. A few years ago, I was fighting my own battle with breast cancer. Today, I am incredibly grateful to be 4 years in remission and able to stand on that start line.

This race isnโ€™t about being the fastest. Itโ€™s about courage, hope, resilience, and never giving up when life throws challenges your way.

Every step we take tonight will be for those still fighting, those we have lost, the survivors, and the families walking alongside them every single day.

If there is one thing I have learned, it is that you are often stronger than you think you are. Keep going, even when the journey feels difficult. Small steps still move you forward.

Wishing everyone a wonderful day, and thank you for all the support you continue to show us. โค๏ธ

๐Ÿงก Orange Button Community Scheme ๐Ÿงก

I recently completed the Orange Button Community Scheme training, which is designed to help people recognise when someone may be struggling emotionally and provide a safe, supportive conversation while signposting them to the right help.

The training was incredibly valuable and has given me even more confidence to support members of our community who may be facing difficult times.

I am also really looking forward to attending the full two-day training next month, where Iโ€™ll be able to build on what Iโ€™ve already learned and continue developing the skills needed to support others safely and effectively.

The more people we have equipped with these skills, the stronger and more compassionate our community becomes. ๐Ÿงก

Hi everyone,

Just a quick reminder that there will be no Diamond Art class this Wednesday.

Instead, my son and I will be taking part in the Race for Life 5K at Witton Park. As many of you know, I recently received the wonderful news that I am now 4 years in remission from breast cancer.

The weeks leading up to that appointment were incredibly emotional. After being fast-tracked for suspected breast cancer again, I found myself facing a lot of uncertainty and fear. To then hear the words that I remain in remission was an overwhelming relief and a moment I will never take for granted.

Cancer touches so many lives. Whether you have faced it yourself, supported a loved one through it, or lost someone to it, its impact reaches far and wide. That is one of the reasons why this event means so much to me.

To be able to take part alongside my son makes it even more special and is a proud mum moment that I will cherish.

If you would like to support this amazing cause, you can donate using the link below. If youโ€™d like to come along and cheer everyone on, the event takes place at Witton Park on Wednesday, with the race starting at 7pm.

Thank you for your support, and hopefully Iโ€™ll see some familiar faces there. ๐Ÿ’—
