This , Dementia Friend Nic shines a light on the importance of carers taking time to look after themselves, too.

"Take help if it’s offered, even if it's just for a couple of hours to do something for yourself. Easier said than done, because of guilt etc. but it's so important to look after yourself too."

It is evident that care, compassion, personalisation and facilitating independence are at the forefront of everything that we do. There is still work to be done to ensure our documentation demonstrates and reflects everything that we do..... remembering, if it's not written down it didn't happen and ...who checks the checkers.... Keep up the good work everyone !
