Thank you for this lovely feedback Areté Learning Trust - we are thrilled to hear that your Rebound Therapy sessions at Norton College are going so well following your recent training, and that students will be able to enjoy this provision on an ongoing basis.
Well done team!

Activities for All Rebound Therapy Sessions a Huge Success at Norton

YES@ Areté Learning Trust is delighted to celebrate the success of the recent Rebound Therapy sessions delivered at Norton College as part of our Activities for All programme.

The sessions have provided pupils with an exciting opportunity to take part in a supportive and engaging activity that has had a significant positive impact on their wellbeing, confidence and personal development.

Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the difference the programme has made to their children.

One parent shared:
“Because my daughter has enjoyed it, it’s massively helped with her confidence and focus. Thank you for giving her the opportunity to take part.”

Throughout the programme, participants were encouraged to step outside of their comfort zones in a safe and supportive environment. As a result, pupils demonstrated increased confidence, improved social skills and greater resilience.

The programme received outstanding feedback overall, with participants rating the sessions 10 out of 10.

Thanks to further funding recently received, YES@ Areté Learning Trust is pleased to announce that the Activities for All rebound therapy programme will continue and is scheduled to restart in September following the summer holidays.

We are incredibly proud of the positive outcomes achieved through this programme and look forward to welcoming participants back for more sessions later this year.

Protecting the Integrity of Rebound Therapy

This may not be our most exciting post — but it’s an important one.

As part of our government agency-backed accreditation, and in order to award internationally recognised CPD points, we are required to periodically reaffirm the authenticity of our training and protect the Rebound Therapy name from misuse and 'passing off'.

What is “passing off”?
“Passing off” is a legal term used when an organisation falsely implies an association with another recognised organisation, brand, or accredited service.
In this context, it ensures that only officially approved Rebound Therapy training is promoted and delivered as authentic Rebound Therapy.
Thankfully, this has rarely been an issue. The professional community widely recognises that Rebound Therapy was founded over 50 years ago by Eddy Anderson, who — together with the team at ReboundTherapy.org — has continued to develop and evolve the discipline ever since.

However, from time to time, we become aware of courses using the term “Rebound Therapy” in their titles despite having no official accreditation or validation. The CPD authority takes these matters seriously and has previously acted against unapproved providers.

When booking training for yourself or your organisation, please ensure you are choosing an authentic course run by ReboundTherapy.org or one of their validated and licensed providers. Further information is available on our website. https://www.reboundtherapy.org/about

Official Statement on Authenticity

The Rebound Therapy Organisation (ReboundTherapy.org) was founded in 1972 by Eddy Anderson — remedial gymnast, physiotherapist, and headteacher. Eddy coined the term “Rebound Therapy” and developed the original training course in partnership with the Cleveland Education Authority.

Over the past 54 years, the course has been continually developed by Eddy and his team, gaining national and international recognition and accreditation.

✅ Only tutors validated by ReboundTherapy.org deliver the authentic training course, which is government-agency approved and awards 20 internationally recognised CPD points.

✅ Every course certificate includes an official Rebound Therapy Institute (RTI) validation number, confirming authenticity. This is commonly required for professional liability insurance.

✅ The Rebound Therapy module within the Earwig academic progress recording system — used by many SEN schools — was developed in consultation with ReboundTherapy.org and is based exclusively on authentic course content.

If you are ever unsure about the legitimacy of a course or provider, please contact us directly:
