📢 Important Notice: IT System Replacement

Parkhill Medical Practice and Avonbridge Branch Surgery will be upgrading our IT system as part of the national GP IT reprovisioning programme. During this period, our access to medical records will be limited and normal services will unfortunately be disrupted.

📅 Key Dates

Bank Holiday Closure: Monday 15th June
Transition Period: Tuesday 16th June – Friday 19th June
Go Live Date (new system): Thursday 18th June

🩺 Appointments

Routine appointments are available up to and including Friday 12th June.
After this date, we cannot book routine appointments until the new system is in place.
Routine bookings will resume from 10am on Friday 19th June.

During the transition week (16th–19th June):

Only urgent, same-day appointments will be available.
These are for clinical issues that cannot wait for a routine appointment.

💊 Prescription Requests

We cannot process repeat prescriptions requested between:

Friday 12th June – Friday 19th June

Please order your medication early if it is due during this time.
Your local pharmacy has been informed and can assist if issues arise.

🧪 Test Results & Medical Records

During the transition period, staff will have limited or no access to clinical records.
We will not be able to provide test results or medical information until after Thursday 18th June.

As we adapt to the new system, we may take a little longer than usual when booking appointments, answering queries and during appointments.

Parkhill Medical Practice will be taking part in essential staff training on Thursday 14th May from 12:30pm.

During this time, if you require urgent medical care, please contact 01324 566610 up until 6pm. After 6pm, please contact 111.

Under Pharmacy First Plus, some pharmacists can also prescribe free medication (including antibiotics) for more complex conditions such as:
