We had a great time speaking at the Power of Play Conference organised by the brilliant ☁️ Thank you for inviting us to be part of it 🧡

It was wonderful to connect with such a great group of people and dive into thinking about bodily regulation together 💭

And an extra big shoutout to everyone for jumping in and having fun with the games! 🏅

📣 Join us to hear the latest research into BUSS 📣

BUSS (Building Underdeveloped Sensorimotor Systems) is a therapy designed for adoptive, foster, kinship and special guardianship families. We’ll talk about why building bodily regulation is so important for children who have experienced disruption at the beginning of their lives, and how families are the best people to do that 🧡

This report presents the findings of research looking at clinical outcome measures for 468 children and young people who completed BUSS 🔍

Outcome Measures used include:
📊 Strength and Difficulties Questionnaires (SDQs)
📊 Goal Based Outcomes (GBOs)
📊 Brief Assessment Checklists for Children and Adolescents (BAC-C & BAC-A)
📊 Thinking About Your Child (TAYC-R)

The webinars will be presented by:
🔹 Dr. Helen Close, NIHR Research Support Service Strategic Lead for Social Care Population Health Sciences Institute, Newcastle University
🔹 Sarah Johal, National Adoption Strategic Lead at Adoption England
🔹 Joined by Sarah Lloyd, Practitioners and Parent Mentors from the BUSS Team

📣 Everyone is welcome! 📣

Policy Makers, Researchers, Fostering and Adoption services, Social Workers, Therapists, Health Professionals, Parents, Foster Carers, Special Guardians, Kinship Carers... And please feel free to share this with anyone who might be interested in hearing more 💭

Please note, both webinars will present the same content and it will be recorded. Use the QR code or link below to book your place on a webinar, or to request a copy of the recording if you are unable to attend: https://forms.gle/QDLH7RaBWEHbgJ6FA
