• Residential Day Care – £90 per day
• Dementia Day Care – £100 per day

It's going to be some walk in this weather!

🚶‍♀️💙 They're walking 12 miles... all for our wonderful residents! 💙🚶‍♂️

This Friday, our amazing team at Tenlands Care Home will be taking on a sponsored 12-mile walk to Newton Aycliffe and back to raise money for the Residents' Fund.

Why? Because they want to make life even more enjoyable for the people who call Tenlands home. Every penny raised will help provide extra activities, exciting days out, special celebrations, entertainment and those little extras that bring so much joy to our residents.

Our team already goes above and beyond every day, but they're now stepping out of their comfort zone (and probably ending up with a few sore feet! 👣) to make an even bigger difference.

If you can sponsor them, share this post or simply cheer them on, we'd be so grateful. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help create more smiles, more memories and more special moments for our residents.

🌈🎉 What a fantastic Pride Day celebration at Tenlands Care Home! 🎉🌈

There was colour, laughter, music and plenty of smiles as residents and staff came together to celebrate Pride Day at Tenlands Care Home.

The home was filled with a wonderful atmosphere as everyone joined in the celebrations, embracing the values of inclusion, friendship, acceptance and community. Residents enjoyed spending time together, sharing stories, taking part in activities and celebrating the things that make each of us unique.

At Tenlands, we believe everyone should feel valued, respected and able to be themselves. Creating a welcoming environment where people feel safe, supported and included is at the heart of everything we do.

Events like Pride Day are a wonderful opportunity to bring people together, spark conversations and celebrate the diverse community that makes our home such a special place to live and work.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success. Judging by the smiles, dancing and laughter, it was a celebration to remember! 💙

🎨🐦 Creativity, conversation and a few future feathered visitors! 🐦🎨

Residents at Tenlands Care Home in Ferryhill recently enjoyed a wonderful arts and crafts session, putting their creativity to work decorating wooden bird houses.

Everyone had the chance to choose their own colours, patterns and designs, resulting in a fantastic collection of unique and colourful creations. No two were the same!

As the paintbrushes got to work, so did the conversations. Residents shared happy memories of gardening, feeding the birds and spending time outdoors, with plenty of laughter along the way.

Activities like these are about so much more than arts and crafts. They encourage creativity, stimulate memories, bring people together and help residents continue enjoying the hobbies and interests that have been important throughout their lives.

The finished bird houses looked amazing, and residents are now looking forward to displaying them in the garden and seeing whether they can attract some feathered visitors over the coming weeks.

At Tenlands, we believe life should be filled with opportunities to create, connect and enjoy new experiences every day. 💙

At Tenlands Care Home, we believe that celebrations are so important. They give us the opportunity to come together, share special moments, create lasting memories, and celebrate the people who mean so much to us.

Today, we are delighted to celebrate a truly wonderful milestone with our resident Jim and his wife Ann Longton, who are marking an incredible 55 years of marriage together. What a fantastic achievement and a testament to a lifetime of love, commitment, friendship, and shared memories.

We have enjoyed celebrating this very special occasion here at Tenlands, and the celebrations will continue this Sunday when Jim and Ann are joined by their family for a special meal together.

Milestones remind us all of the importance of family, love, and taking time to celebrate life's precious moments. We feel privileged to share in such a special day and would like to wish Jim and Ann a very happy 55th Wedding Anniversary.

🌈 Pride Month at Tenlands Care Home 🌈

At Tenlands Care Home, we're proud to be a place where everyone is welcome, everyone is respected and everyone can be themselves.

This week, residents and staff have been celebrating Pride Month, recognising the importance of love, friendship, acceptance and inclusion. It has been a lovely opportunity to come together, enjoy colourful activities and celebrate the diverse world we live in.

At Strong Life Care we believe our homes should reflect the communities around them. Our residents, families and colleagues come from many different backgrounds, each bringing their own stories, experiences and perspectives. Those differences enrich our homes and help make them vibrant, welcoming places to live and work.
